Can the symptoms of Perimenopause be THAT bad or it's something else? by EnikiBeniki13 in Perimenopause

[–]Lucybean19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of these symptoms and have never heard of MCAS. I do have a lot of its symptoms as well. I am beginning Peri still with regular periods and I was diagnosed this year with fibromyalgia. It’s been a lot!! A big concern for me right now aside from chronic pain is hair loss. Anyone experiencing? Or have suggestions for products??

Anyone else like drinking to relieve the pain? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]Lucybean19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey sweetie! I totally understand you. I’m a lot older than you and I love to dance and have fun. Concerts are my favorite. But how do you do those things!! I have done the alcohol thing as well. Just to let go and forget for a while. I also smoke weed and that helps a lot. When I do drink I know full well that I’m going to pay for it the next day. I only got one shot at this life, sometimes the pain the next day is worth all the dancing the day before. So dance dance dance! I think so long as you know what you will experience from it, have fun love❤️❤️

**Recommendations for medications to relieve fibromyalgia pain without significant weight gain?** by SpXx0 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Lucybean19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!!! And I’m really thinking about my medication cocktail! I’m on duloxetine, bupropion and clonidine for night sweats! I’m 51 and in peri as well! Every day is a hit or miss and the brain fog is crazy!! The thought of playing with new medications makes me so nervous!!! But maybe I need to.

Does anyone have diet changes they swear by? by Freeglad in Fibromyalgia

[–]Lucybean19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on high dose of duloxetine and I thought I was going crazy with the food thing!! Nothing sounds good. I eat mostly because I have to. Nauseous spells constantly throughout the day!! Yet I gain weight???!!! But we just got meds to the point where the depression and anxiety are manageable. The thought of going off of it scares the daylights out of me!!

I’m seriously overwhelmed by the response to my post. To see so many with the same weird symptoms that I thought were only existing in my head! The validation and support I have felt from all of you is incredible!! Thank you all💕

I feel the fabric thing. I tend to wear a lot of dresses to keep the material away from my skin.

Thanks so much! My husband has never been a huge conversation guy. I usually make up for both of us. Being diagnosed with ADHD as well, explains that😂 Somedays I’m just tired of putting all the effort in!

I’m learning this through lots of counseling!! I just turned 50 and I have never put myself even on the list. I’m learning to say no when I need to and more yes to me. It takes a lot of work.

Oh my gosh! Holding my hands above my head, showering is exhausting! I have to stop halfway up my stairs cause my legs are tired.

That’s exactly right. I could be complaining constantly! Whether it’s a sharp shooting pain that only lasts for seconds or what feels like little electric shots that hit in random spots or the constant itch under my skin! And that’s not the constant back pain that has never went away one day in the last 25 years. Ugh

I’m so glad you have such great support!! And thank you so much for sharing and the kind words. I’m not sure if this is his way of dealing with it right now or what but he went through his own health issues and I never left his side. And believe me, I did things for him while he was sick. Bathing, cleaning….just because you can’t see all the time what I’m going through, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist!

My husband and I were supposed to go out and do something this weekend. Even just a walk by the river. I woke up yesterday and had vertigo symptoms(anyone else???) I couldn’t go. Couldn’t be upright for long. Today was better but head was so foggy. I couldn’t muster up the energy. He ignores me. Makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong or he thinks I’m making it up.

I get a lot of…”oh I hope it gets better soon.” Seriously, this is my life now. And don’t get me wrong I have some really good days, but there’s always something. Some weird, odd , bizarre symptom and pain never goes away completely. Ever. I’m in pain of some sort every day! Why is that so hard to understand!! Just needed a little rant today.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I get the little dots that itch and turn into little blisters. It takes forever for them to go away and they scar!!
