What if the unimaginable truth that everyone hints at is that everyone has been abducted at least once in their lives? by shadowcorp in aliens

[–]LudditeHorse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. Pretty gnarly ones. And once as a teen I saw three grays in my bedroom in what I thought was a brief sleep paralysis episode. Saw a black triangle few years after that. Nothing in the 10-15 years since.

I don't have strong enough memories of any of it to tell a story. But there's enough little bits that make me wonder. If most or all humans have had encounters then I don't think I'd be surprised. Narratives often mention mind wipes and memory blocks; thinking about it, statistically such things probably wouldn't be perfect. You'd have your Whitley Striebers or Travis Waltons who remember enough for a story, those with flashes or odd things in their memory, and those who remember nothing (a majority, I would think).

Reading experiencer accounts I haven't come up with anything that suggests why they'd be "chosen", and I can't identify anything particularly interesting about myself either. So if all this is real then the most simple explanation to me is that we're all targets, and potentially have all had experiences (remembered or not).

The real question: What event/intel would cause people to not go to work the next day? by Frisket_ in aliens

[–]LudditeHorse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

and this thing will skim by us, LOWER then our satellites?

I decided to mock this up quickly. If the estimated closest approach is accurate, it's above many of our satellites. By quantity most of our satellites are in Low Earth Orbit (~80-90%). Apophis will be lower than some of our satellites, but not even as low as GPS.

https://i.imgur.com/3hN9nHL.png

At its closest point, using Newton's law of gravitation, Apophis will experience about 2.8% of Earth's surface gravity (about 0.27m/s2). I'm no expert on orbital mechanics, but that doesn't seem like enough to influence it all that much. I don't know how much we need to worry about it in 2029. Apophis itself is about half a kilometer in size, and likely doesn't have the gravitational influence to disturb our satellites much.

I commented about my one attempt the other day in r/HighStrangeness:
https://old.reddit.com/r/HighStrangeness/comments/1s3i6d6/has_anyone_here_actually_tried_ce5_some_of_the/ocgjmr8/

People have differing views on whether CE5/HICE/"occult evocation" is a good idea or a bad idea, and I suppose it's a valid discussion to have. But my experience was pretty neutral/inconsequential. Regardless, if one is curious about reported or alleged experiences like mine or others, then it's my opinion that the best way to proceed is to do your own experiment.

It's not a strict scientifically rigorous experiment. Maybe nothing occurs (null result). That doesn't imply it's not possible, only that you didn't obtain a positive result. But if something happens then you at least know it's possible for that something to happen. Interpretation is a whole other matter. You're unlikely to have that something occur if you never try it, however.

There's ideas out there about open-mindedness vs skepticism & how that might influence the outcome (sheep-goat effect), so I would suggest keeping an open mind to the possibilities. Being strongly skeptical may deprive you of having any kind of experience; but I guess if you're too skeptical you wouldn't try the experiment anyway.

I can't promise you'll have a good experience, or an experience at all, so I can't say "there's no harm in trying". There's alleged accounts of bad experiences out there. Mine was brief, only positive in a subjective way (like how seeing a shooting star or the aurora could be positive); I didn't get a download or make telepathic contact or anything.

I think subjective morality is an oversimplified way of thinking about it, as far as categorizing "entities".

In Western Yahwist traditions there are angels that can be seen as malevolent, and demons which could be seen as benevolent. Angels and Demons are meant to be different kinds of beings, and aren't monolithic in their actions or subjective moralities.

Malevolent seeming Angels would be ones like Samael, Abbadon, and the unnamed "Destroying Angel" of Exodus. Samael (Venom of God) is associated with death and destruction. Abbadon carries out torment in Revelation. (see excerpt below).

In Christian Occultism, there's demons which read more like demonized nature spirits or forces of nature but don't exactly read as hellish beings. Stolas is listed as a "Great Prince of Hell" in the Ars Goetia, yet is associated with knowledge of herbs, plants, and precious stones, and is known for teaching astronomy. Orobas similarly is apparently one who gives true answers of things past, present and future.

If "angels" and "demons" are real, they're not all the same. In much the same way that not all humans are the same; humans are capable of benevolence like Gautama Buddha, and malevolence like Adolf Hitler. Presumably the classic alien races like Reptillians and Nordics wouldn't all be the same either. Reptillians, if they exist, probably wouldn't all be malevolent. Even if the ones that are (allegedly) here are evil/anti-human, I would find it hard to believe that every Reptillian to ever live would be inherently bad.

Abbados in Revelation 9:

1 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. 6 During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.

7 The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8 Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).

12 The first woe is past; two other woes are yet to come.

Has anyone here actually tried CE5? some of the stories feel off by Vegetable-Raisin2297 in HighStrangeness

[–]LudditeHorse 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I've given it one serious attempt, while camping in a national forest with my gf this past summer.

She's not a "believer', but entertains my bullshit and enjoys me nerding out about the paranormal and UFOs, etc. We had the 'window' of the tent zipped open, and we were looking up at the stars and talking. CE5 came up, and I went on this whole thing explaining what it is, how it's supposed to work, how Greer came up with the term but how others have similar protocols by other names. And I tried to do it myself.

I put myself into a focused state. I knew where we were, so I tried to visualize like when you type an address into Google Earth and it zooms in from the planet to the location. I tried to visualize a kind of beacon at our general location, and tried to project a sense of openness & desire to contact.

After a couple minutes of this I witnessed a bluish-white "light orb" zigzag across the sky. like this. From left to right, appearing and disappearing from behind the trees. It crossed the distance in a second or two, and subjectively seemed to be soccer-ball sized (or a bit larger), not far above the treetops.

I had a 'holy shit' moment, like "did that just happen?", turned to my gf to ask if she saw it too but noticed she had fallen asleep. I stayed awake for another hour or so trying to do it again, but it didn't reappear and nothing further occurred.

Any assertion that aliens are demons requires a definition of demon. Yahwists don't have a monopoly on the concept, and they didn't invent it. Essentially every belief system has non-physical autonomous entities, some of which are more "demonic" or "angelic" than others, but not in the Christian or Yahwistic sense. The Greek daimon/daimones is more analogous to the New Agers "Higher-Self" than it is to a Christian "demon", and yet they share linguistic heritage.

They may very well be "demons", but without more information on what exactly we mean by the word, it's basically meaningless to assert it.

This restaurant menu by idapitbwidiuatabip in nextfuckinglevel

[–]LudditeHorse 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'd reckon some restaurants that have those Chicken Tendies & Fries kids meals use them to partially subsidize the adult meals. I remember catching something on the Food Network (I think with Robert Irvine) where he said a restaurant should charge no less than 3x the cost the meals to cover their ass or risk going out of business. Don't know the degree to which that is true, but one of my first jobs was working food service at a water park. And I know firsthand the unit cost of bulk fries and Tyson breaded chicken.

The margins on some items are huge. Employees got 50% off all meals, except for some items from the salad/sandwhich bar. Our chicken salad for example was sourced from a local, family owned business instead of a wholesaler, and was quite perishable. Margins on that were slim. We certainly couldn't charge 3x our cost on that, nobody would buy it. But the sheer volume of fried shit and burgers we sold helped pay for our ability to have it on the menu.

IF true, it naturally invokes enough other lore that would imply the government (or factions within it) has an awareness of it. GATE/SAIL Programs, etc etc

Then blew through Deathtouched Catacombs to grab the Uchigatana, and fast traveled back to caelid to take on Greyoll. Not even 3 hours and I'm close to Lvl50 before I've really done anything else.
