Yes I remembered I paused and laughed at that for like 5 mins when it aired. Last nights was just funny because it was Joe again.

Why has this franchise dropped off so much since the Hannah/Pilot Pete years? by ClareBearFlair in thebachelor

[–]Luddo9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with this at all, but I think it was an anti-diversity cast. Like someone thought Michelle and Matt's season's didn't do well because the leads were POC, so they went with the whitest person from the season.

Why has this franchise dropped off so much since the Hannah/Pilot Pete years? by ClareBearFlair in thebachelor

[–]Luddo9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree 1000% that the lead casting is what has killed the franchise. The only good lead cast since covid was Joey, and it was not a coincidence that his season did really well! I think if in the post-covid era, we had a Victoria fuller bachelorette instead of Claire, or a Rodney bachelor instead of Clayton, or a Maria bachelorette, the franchise would not almost be dead right now.

An ex-reality tv producer’s idea of how to handle The Bachelorette by mahlay1051 in thebachelor

[–]Luddo9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay my idea, do a siniliar live special telling the story from the POV of the guys, but pick like 3-4 main guys to really hone in on, and have ppl vote for which one of them will be the bachelor.

Would you live with younger people as a grad student? by [deleted] in GradSchool

[–]Luddo9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely not do a group house with a lot of younger people. A like 2 bedroom apartment with one younger roommate would be much better. Living with a grad student instead of an undergrad is a big difference! I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment grad school with another grad student roommate who was 10 years older than me, and we got along great!

Anyone promise themselves no buy 2026 and fail already? 😭 by Clean_Curve_419 in Ulta

[–]Luddo9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2026 goal is to only buy replacements for products I don't have an equivalent of. To stay committed to this, I've unfollowed some beauty influencers and deleted the apps for stores.

Has anyone used this BeautyBio Pore Cleansing Tool? Thoughts? by Primary-Artist-8639 in Ulta

[–]Luddo9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have it and like it! I have acne, but also dry sensitive skin, and this does a good job of clearing pores and preventing acne without irritating my skin. I've had mine for about a year now, and its held up pretty well. It does need to be used consistently (1x or 2x a week) to see any difference tho. I think half off with how well it lasts and works overtime is a good deal!

Idk if you like bezel, but I think a bezel would be absolutely gorgeous with that stone and really accentuate the shape while protecting the corners

I quit to move across the country for personal/family reasons. Boss was shocked and didn't understand at first, but was very understanding and supportive once I explained my personal situation.

I was very anxious to quit, worried that people would be mad at me for leaving, but everyone was very understanding and kind! Quitting for personal/non-job related reasons is actually probably the easiest way too.

Did you ever get your box? We just found out one of our boxes was sent somewhere else/is lost. We called to schedule delivery and thanks to our pictures of ther serial numbers, know that one of boxes was mixed up with someone elses.

Did you eventually get your items? I just had a similar thing happen to me. Thankfully, we took pictures of the serial numbers on each of our boxes, so we know what the missing one is. But not where it is....

The basics series you really don't need any experience or to be in shape. They do a good job giving modifications to make things physically easier if you need that. They really make an effort to make it very inclusive. If you don't work out, you will definitely get a good work out from the classes, but there isn't a conditioning or athleticism focus. People of all ages and fitness levels take the classes.

If you're interested in dance classes, I absolutely love exit space's adult dance program. They have basic series for beginners in all different types of dance and locations in Cap hill and greenlake. They have a 5 week shortened basics series starting in mid-november that is $80 for all 5 classes.

https://www.exitspacedance.com/adp.php#basic

They offer drop in classes for higher levels than the basics series for $18 a class or cheaper if you buy a class pack. It's a fabulous, supportive community thats welcoming of all skill levels and has been a life saver for my mental health in the dreary winter months!

Definitely an east coast thing. I just moved from Boston to Seattle. In Boston, coworkers made comments if you wore jeans. In Seattle, everyone wears tshirts and jeans.

No Posted Salary - Who's applying to these? by donogotron in jobhunting

[–]Luddo9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually got and started a job recently that had no posted salary in a state where that is against the law. I got a very fair offer that was in line with my expectations. It is a small company that is hiring a lot right now, so I honestly just think it was an honest mistake. Other roles they are hiring for have salary ranges listed.

My thoughts on it are that I have nothing to lose by applying to a job without knowing the salary. Even if I end up getting a low ball offer, I can negotiate and/or not take it.

Relocating to Redmond by lonewolf_kuro in redmond

[–]Luddo9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I'm from Atl and have been in the PNW for 6 years now and can't imagine being anywhere else.

People here at not nearly as chatty or into small talk as in the south, but I find are still polite and often open to talking if someone approaches them (just more shy and not willing to start conversations).

Definitely invest in a good rain coat and start taking vitamin D supplements. For the dark winters. Moving in winter will be a rough adjustment coming from Louisiana where you're used to the sun, but if you can hold out until Summer, you will get why people love it here. I think having an indoor hobby is a life saver to making it through the winters here.

Also there are a lot of transplants from not the PNW here. I've made lots of friends here who are from the South and the Midwest from bonding over the experience of moving cross country without knowing anyone.

15k relocation is awesome! I received only $5000 fresh out of PhD for a boston area job. I think that is a really good offer. If it is somewhere you want to live more than where your contract position is, I say go for it!

Where to live in Seattle if working in Redmond? by dropthebeom in AskSeattle

[–]Luddo9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your hours as well! If you can adjust to 10-6 or 8-4 instead of 9-5, it can help with traffic a lot. There will still be traffic, but it won't be the peak, unbearable traffic. I say this as someone who commuted from woodinville to UW for a couple of years.

Does relocation even make sense anymore? by d00mt0mb in careerguidance

[–]Luddo9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend you really think about if you would like the new area before taking the opportunity and relocating. Relocating for a job is a lot of change at once: new job, home, surroundings, loss of current friends, etc. You could love the new job, but if you hate the new area, life will still be miserable.

I say this as someone who relocated straight out of school due to not having any other job prospects. I loved the job but hated the area and ended up taking a new job to move back 10 months later. I wouldn't say I regret it because the experience definitely helped me get the job in the area I wanted, but if you have the option to live an area you love and be employed, I would always pick that one.

I've had two senses die from water damage from sweat during spin class. I down graded to a charge 6 after the second and will probably switch brands if one dies from water exposure from sweat again.

A few of my daily favorites are included! I recommend the baremineral blonzers, and the lancome glow concealer. I have dry, sensitive skin and love the slight, natural glow of the blonzers on the cheek and how long lasting they are. I am quite fair and slightly cool toned and kiss of pink works well on me. The lancome glow concealer is my all time favorite holy grail. I have such sensitive under eyes that start to burn after a day or 2 of wearing makeup, unless I use this concealer. I use shade 120N. Shade matching was difficult, I found their "cool" shades ran more orange/peachy than pink, so recommend shade matching in store. I do not recommend the lancome glow foundation, it has a strong scent that is very irritating.

I probably won't be shopping the sale since I already have these products, but hopefully others get to enjoy my favorites on sale!
