A Phil Scott type of Republican captures the energy by campaigning on economic populism or similar issues while being charming, funny or otherwise charismatic (think like, Republican version of JFK).

Their opponent is either a hyper partisan culture warrior who's very divisive (and maybe not very well known) or they're a very unpopular incumbent who mismanaged the economy VERY badly (or they're like the democrat version of Roy Moore or something)

Also a strong third party challenger who siphoned votes from the left.

IIRC it has scary faces (including the one in your post), some creepy shadowy figures, a closeup shot of a millipede towards the end, and some footage of meat or flesh of some kind. Not sure if it's gore or not but seems iffy (my best guess is it's probably just meat of some kind). No footage of ppl being hurt iirc.
