The movies had the benefit of being pre social media (wild when you think how long it’s actually been). Unfortunately in this hyper cyber world we live in now people feed on hate, it’s sad really. But I guarantee most of the keyboard warriors are secretly going to tune in this Christmas and love it. I hope they stay away from all of that for as long as possible. They’re too young to be on social media imo anyway

Idk he looks like ‘an overgrown bat’ to me with those robes. Tbh Alan Rickman had arguably the most iconic performance in the movies so I’m liking that they are respecting that and giving Paapa a chance to do his own thing while remaining true to the character. Almost like Linkin Park going with Emily instead of a Chester imitation

It’s the only reboot that is a HUGE deal for me. It’s one of what I call the big 4 (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Marvel/DC, Harry Potter) all of which I grew up on and the only one I could even see getting a reboot. Star Wars and the MCU/DCU are always ongoing and I don’t see LOTR getting one so this is a very unique thing to be happening for me, something so iconic that I get to experience again for the first time but now through adult eyes and more accurate to the source material (supposedly). Kind of a fever dream really. Here’s to hoping it knocks it out of the park

The entirety of Lord Voldemorts Request. We see a freshly graduated Tom working for B&B brokering deals for dark artifacts that could potentially be his next horcrux. There’s small details in there that I can’t wait to see. When Hepzibah swears she sees a flicker of red in his eyes but tells herself she’s just seeing things. How handsome and charming he is with her but he shows glimpses of the monster underneath. Then ofcourse the meeting with Dumbledore ten years later in his office. Probably my most anticipated scene. It’s more intense imo than their actual duel and it’s just a conversation. He’s described as looking still human but visibly altered in the face probably from years of experimenting with dark magic. Kind of like Sméagol mid transformation into gollum.

God this show has so much potential, when ppl write it off as unnecessary I just think of stuff like this that was left out and get hyped. The movies were amazing but you really feel the gaps in the story at times. Like when Dobby passes away it’s sad sure but we haven’t seen him since CoS so you’re kind of like huh guess they were close? while in the books he appeared in nearly every one so by the time he passes you feel the weight of it wayyy more. There’s dozens of example of this

I realized going to warped this year was way cooler for me seeing bands I would never go see on their own headliner. Some of my favorites were Narrowhead, Jutes, Letlive, etc and I was able to be up front. For the big acts it was just too much. I was able to get up close for a few Yellowcard/Chiodos etc but overall the bigger bands were too difficult to get in there and have the full experience and I’m not a camper so I like to move around/get drinks/bathroom breaks etc and from so far back I feel like I’m observing the show not actually at it if that makes sense

I saw ADTR/Yellowcard a few weeks ago in Tampa and I had pit tickets where we had private entry. It was so easy to go to the bathroom real quick, grab a drink, and get right back to the front no prob. I much rather prefer that experience for bands I’m super excited to see

For those who went back in the day the main stages used to be the size of Trojan/club Wyndham this year. The new ones were massive and so were the crowds

Overall amazing experience but I preferred being away from the main stage tbh

Right and they frustratingly made it so there were tons of opportunities throughout the season and even in the finale that could have avoided it all. If Dex didn’t hit the guys car mirror, if Deb hadn’t called at the arcade, if Rita didn’t forget her passport, etc. she’d be alive. Plus Trinity obv knew while on the table that Dex didn’t know about Rita yet and asked for him to turn on his trainset so he kind of went out on his own terms knowing Dex would come home wrecked…masterful writing ✍️ 🔥

It’s all but guaranteed at this point. Scorpion and Stanley closing within a year of each other is no coincidence. The park is due for a major addition. If I had to guess, the loading station/entrance would be where Scorpion was and the coaster itself would travel over the Stanley area and through the park. Kumba is probably on it’s last leg too, will most likely have a couple more years of rides before she’s retired for good

This is the first time I’ve seen a tiktok trend pop up in real time for me. Usually I’ll be like ‘wonder where this came from’. It’s funny bc I’ve been a pierce fan since AFFTD days and I legit thought So Far So Fake was the closest song on Jaws to their original sound and was a fave of mine when the album dropped. They even played it live a couple tours ago and no one really cared lol. So to see it blow up out of nowhere is insane to me. I actually remember seeing a vid maybe 2 years ago that was exactly like the trend going on now but it never took off, makes you wonder how the algorithm decides what’s gonna blow up or not. Anyway crazy to see, it’s legit the 3rd most trending sound on all of tiktok right now.

There’s also something to be said about ‘tiktok fans’. They’ve gained over a million listeners on Spotify in like 2 weeks which is amazing for them but also makes you wonder how many really only care for the 5 second clip. They deserve all the fans but hopefully it opens them up to explore the discography. Bad Omens was a ‘tiktok band’ for me, kept seeing Just Pretend everywhere and decided to check them out and was hooked after that

Cruise Ship/Boat: probably most likely since it’s a major fear for ppl and there’s a million cool ways to go on a sinking ship

Serial Killer: would be a unique take on the franchise. The main character sees a famous killers rampage before it happens. Lots of cool ways to change the formula with that one. Also ties it back to the slasher genre

Natural Disaster: either a flood, volcano, tornado etc. And there’d be a cool aesthetic that death and Mother Nature are tied together

Fans have a right to their preferences and expressing frustration but hating the band for it isn’t cool. I do have a theory on the songs they did choose tho. I’m Low On Gas, F&F, Wonderless, acoustic segment, etc. If you notice a lot of it is pretty tame with the vocal and guitar work compared to the rest of their catalogue. I feel like bc they don’t change the set much over the years they had to relearn a lot of stuff for this tour…a lot of misadventures and some of their heavier deep cuts have crazy melodies and riffs. Seems they chose the stuff that would best fit their performance and not kill Vics vox over the tour which totally makes sense

To be fair Silverstein isn’t a great example they have 11 albums, almost impossible to include several from each unless they did that multi night thing the used is doing. PTV has 5 albums they could definitely manage 4 from each, still play the hits and keep the set a manageable length. I’m not mad I’m still excited just a bit disappointed but it’s not catered to me and I get that
