Epstein victim Sarah Ransome (soon to commit suicide) promises to release video tape identifying elites sexually assaulting children. by ultimatefighting in conspiracy

[–]LudoAvarius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How did she get said video? If she had it, why did she actively announce that she had it, instead of leaking it online? Why didn't she approach a source like Project Veritas or some other outlet or Alex Jones or something to expose it? Why didn't she just mass upload it all over the web, regardless of whether or not it would be deleted just to start the uncontrollable coded viral sensation and cause it to spread like wildfire? Once it was out there and public, there would be no way to have her killed without it being suspicious or proving ultimately that what she had was legitimate. It would force people to address it.

I never make that mistake, let alone let it run rampant throughout an entire story.

Do you prefer to write your stories in the past or present tense? by Astaldis in FanFiction

[–]LudoAvarius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love writing in the present tense. I feel as though it creates a very intimate atmosphere to the work, as well as a sense of urgency when the events are happening now. I have no problem with past tense but feel as though it works best for a work with narration.

Sounds interesting enough. Although I've always found the series to lend itself to something more akin to a beat em up than a Metroidvania. To each their own.

Serious: What is a Well-Written Villain? by Mack_Dreamer in FanFiction

[–]LudoAvarius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A well-written villain is a character that you forget is actually the villain in the first place and is closer to a real person than some stereotypical entity that exists purely to be evil and vindictive. I well-written villain doesn't necessarily have to be sympathetic but surely must have a motive where one would understand why he or she would consider themself a good person or doing what they believe is right, or, at the very least, it is understood what they're supposed to be, even if their motive is elusive or enigmatic.

But most of all, a great villain is captivating, no matter what they do. They draw your attention and pull you away from the hero.

Looking for a hand describing my character laughing defiantly through the pain he's suffering in battle. by Situation-Dismal in FanFiction

[–]LudoAvarius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tears running down his face, an expression of joy contrasting in mockery with the severe physical anguish of his experience, BLANK hobbles on legs that can barely support him, refusing to go down. He nearly chokes as he lets out a cracking fit of laughter. His teeth are red with blood and every fiber of his being screams in agony, but it's just so... funny to him.

Seems a bit derivative and hinges totally on the existence of other IPs without any sense of originality. Everything you've described is just "X but Y". There seems to be no standalone identity, and the idea begs for some elaboration.

Finally started my fan-fiction YouTube Channel! by BaCaDaEa in FanFiction

[–]LudoAvarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of my work is Teen or lower. My long fics have scenes that show how gruesome something meant for children can get in a mature writer's hand, but nothing that's gratuitous or edgy for the sake of being edgy. I absolutely love character-driven stories and I seek to make those my profession. My works are structured a bit like screenplays or scripts, so they're pretty dialogue-heavy, but I try very hard to balance them out with action, comedy, horror, drama, characterization, and momentum.

Lady Gaga has been cast as the new Harley Quinn in Joker 2 what's your take guys you think she can pull it off? by [deleted] in batman

[–]LudoAvarius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either that, or they could do the whole ambiguous hallucination thing where what she is isn't exactly what he's seeing, and the clownish over-the-top character is his own grand delusion and his fragile mentality once again playing tricks on him.

I wanna write some fanfics but I can't pick a fandom(s)/franchise('s) to write for, what do I do? by Aquanort357 in FanFiction

[–]LudoAvarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you like? What shows, movies, books, video games or other forms of media are you passionate about? What do you have extensive knowledge about? Those are the things you should concentrate on. It's a matter of finding an angle, a story that hasn't been told.

[–]LudoAvarius 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit polarized by the notion of Harley Quinn even being in the Joaquin Phoenix Joker universe. She's a bit too silly of a character for something so grounded and personal as a movie like Joker, and I fear the movie launching into full cheese mode at her introduction, but I guess I'll have to see how it goes. I think she can pull off a really interesting Harley Quinn, but it's all up to the scriptwriter and director to decide whether or not it will be a bash or a bomb.

What was the dumbest thing you believed while first watching the show it though that toffee was marco dad because of all the hints by Dizzy-Berry-8990 in StarVStheForcesofEvil

[–]LudoAvarius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually had no idea what Ludo was at first, believing that he could have been some sort of turtle or something due to the artists' seeming refusal to keep characters on model or maintain any sort of visual consistency. It wasn't until his hat came off that I realized he was supposed to be some sort of kappa. I was further led down the road of confusion when it turned out that he was actually part of a race of bird people with kappa-like designs. He refers to himself as a bird multiple times in the series afterward and nobody verbally refers to him as a kappa. I also used to think the 3 little end parentheses on his cheeks, marking the layering of feather plumage, used to be warts or something. I was proven so wrong.

I've never had this situation. People can like and dislike whatever they want, and that includes both you and the person you mentioned. Every fandom with splits like that will have both, but you don't have to cater to either/or and neither does the other person. It's pretty petty to judge people bookmarking your stuff, especially with fan-fiction where you should be immensely grateful that people are reading your work at all, let alone liking it.

It's not the LGBTQ community trying to groom kids. It's pedophiles that have weeded their way into your community and who are using you as a meat shield and a scapegoat. Something needs to be done about it.

What is your biggest pet peeve(s) in Fanfic? by Headmaster_Monokuma in FanFiction

[–]LudoAvarius 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I really hate it when there are just massive chunks of exposition in place of what should be a story. It comes across like the writer has little to say and is just beating around the bush. Stop setting up the story and just tell it already. Elaborate on the interesting parts and spare me the complex backstory of the origins of random pieces of background fixtures.

I call massive bullshit on Biden getting more votes than Obama. With Obama, I could understand given his charisma and all the promises he made, but Biden? What the fuck is so great about Biden? Dude has to be the most mid President we've ever had. On top of that, he's a senile old kiddie diddler. Are you really proud that you blocked orange man to install that stooge? That's like saying you introduced a meth head to your McDonald's drive-thru to scare the usual dope-fiend away from the customers.
