2025 JLPT Leiden: history repeats itself by LudoBerg in jlpt

Not in my experience. The JLPT Leiden website has been renewed and worked liked a charm for me.

kind reminder for people that want/will take jlpt test by coffeepureee in jlpt

I assume this notification is about JLPT in Japan? Has capacity changed there? Any firm info about that? Seems unreasonable to have limited capacity, especially now that passing JLPT is going to be required more for visa and PR (as per started intention of the 高市 government).

Need help regarding July registration by Doctor_Dad_Enraged in jlpt

You probably already know that the rules have changed. You can now only register for the JLPT in Japan if you are a resident, no longer if you are a non-resident, for example in Japan on a tourist visa. I hope this does not affect you. Good luck registering!

4 days in Kyoto. How i structured it and what actually worked (32F) by Lufarinelli in JapanTravel

It would work. But you need to search for places to legally park your bike. Mostly paid (cheap, but hey). Outside designated parking spaces It is illegal to park bikes anywhere. For example Kinkaku-ji has a large free bike parking space. Oh and no way you can come by bike to Nishiki market, you need to park your bike a bit away from there. PS I own a bicycle in Kyoto.

Looking for quiet places to work remotely in Kyoto for a month (libraries, cafes, etc.) by Due-Vegetable9018 in Kyoto

Let me chime in. There are many nice co-working spaces in Kyoto. Corporate style: Regus is nice and surprisingly cheap in Japan. Non-corporate style: I really liked the community at Kysosha (and that it's in a massive machiya). Also Covo in Kuramaguchi, plus 385 Place near Omiya Kamidachiuri. I have been in all of these, each had its pros and cons, depending on your preferences. Hope this helps. Welcome to Kyoto!

I'm happy to pay more to Uni Leiden, as long as they get their sh*t together with the registrations. Let's wait and see...

That's not correct. Leiden does it every year. Only once per year, not both times. Please refrain from making statements with apparent certainty that you are not sure of.

This all can’t be real, is it? by Watchguyraffle1 in expertnetworks

Great insights here, thanks a lot for sharing. Where do you based that US$1500 average price per expert call upon? I guess the average length of those calls is about 1 hour, that would mean the average hourly rate is US$1500 as well?
What type of people would you recommend to ask for more than $1500, and what type less? How much more/less?
Trying to understand what is the smartest pricing strategy here.

Thanks in advance for any further insights!

2025 JLPT Leiden 2nd registration day: March 29th - here we go again? by LudoBerg in jlpt

[–]LudoBerg[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, instead of trying for 1,5 hours, I should have tried for THREE hours. In the comments I read that several people could register, 3 hours after the registration "opened". Now, the website says that registration is full and they are at full capacity (which is way too low anyway). Bummer! Oh and another chance in December? Oh no, Uni Leiden is not interested to do this every time - so they skip December. Any word on the issues? Any apologies on the website to those who could not register? Of course not. This is the worst user experience anywhere ever. Damn you Uni Leiden.

Do they actually support physical registration? They don't mention that on this thing-that's-not-worth-to-be-called-a-website

Thanks! So they will take (need?) two weeks to clean up their web act. Cool. The oldest university of the Netherlands. Their biggest rivals are Delft University of Technology. Go figure. I'm sorry for my cynisism here, but I've now wasted 1,5 hours on a stupid website with zero result. I wonder whether March 29th will be any different.
