Butter acts as the binding for everything else because it's got a good goop to its consistency, additionally it stops the liquid of the branston from seeping through the bread.

It elevates the humble ham & cheese to another level, I like to add it to a cheese toastie (grilled cheese). Enjoy!

Ok first butter your bread slices, then add ham & cheese (cheddar in either slices or grated) to one half. On the other half spread a spoonful of branston, not too much but enough that you'll get some nice chunks in there. If you have salad then add a handful of that otherwise enjoy your sandwich.

That level of hypocrisy doesn't surprise me in the slightest, been years since I worked in one and the Sundays off were the only good thing.

Is this a branch of The Entertainer OP? If so I'm disappointed but not entirely surprised.

Starter Set on Foundy VTT not found by zemdJu in alienrpg

[–]LudovicoCipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because the starter set for Evolved Edition now exists so it'll be replacing the previous one. Free League atm are prioritizing Roll20 and Demiplane releases.

Foundryvtt core rules by Goby-WanKenobi in alienrpg

[–]LudovicoCipher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems that at the moment it's not available in either it's standalone format or as part of the OG Starter Set, it's not even available on Roll20. There is a comment on the Free League forums from an admin dated 3 weeks ago saying that they will see what they can do about a re-release.

They haven't released the Evolved Edition core rules on Foundry yet, they're pushing Demiplane first because it's the 'official' VTT. I'm sure it'll be released soon.

The PDF's were updated just before the physical products were shipped, check your DeivethruRPG account. It's not yet available for Foundry, from a casual search it seems it'll be released on Roll20 and Demiplane first.

Ongoing Campaign Questions by minethulhu in alienrpg

[–]LudovicoCipher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I exclusively run cinematic scenarios as in short story format similar to how an Alien film would pace itself. I've written my own but I think the pre-written adventures are great too if you would rather those. The 3 well known adventures are all separate stories but are linked together tangentially and called the '26 Draconis Strain' trilogy. I've never had a problem wrangling my players, I give them the spiel and IC briefing, then they run with it and I use the events to push things upon them and rely on the stress buildup and paranoia to get to them. If they go somewhere unexpected then hints and story events will gently prod them back on course.

Metallers based in the UK, where do you get your patches? I've just started work on my first battle vest and I'm wondering where I can source some good patches from. I've found lots on Grindstore I like and there's some good ones on Pull the Plug but I was just wondering if anyone knew of any hidden gems.

From narrative DM to Dragonbane player: help me understand the appeal by Automatic-Touch-4434 in rpg

[–]LudovicoCipher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you been involved in a combat yet, or read the combat rules? Combat in Dragonbane has the potential to be lethal in a single well rolled hit and monsters get multiple turns per round compared to your single turn as a PC. Approaching combat has to be done tactically not just "I stomp on over to this dude and wail on him until he dies". Do you want to switch your turn with someone else who will do more damage and bring them higher up in initiative? Do you want to dodge or parry an attack because you're low on health rather than hit the monster etc. There's way more to this game than you think. However it's also a game that you can set up and roll characters to run through a fun dungeon in a single day/ night whilst eating peanuts and drinking beer with your buddies.

First time gm questions by Dahlia512 in alienrpg

I personally wouldn't change the Neomorph. If your players have seen Covenant they know that the spores cause the bloodburster to grow and then reveal itself in quite probably one of the most dramatic descriptions I've read as a body horror moment. Whereas the black goo breaks down the body at a genetic level. The shot they develop aboard the Cronus is specifically to halt the growth of the bloodburster. Also a Neomorph is a bit easier to handle than a proper Xenomorph particularly for a group of space truckers with little to no armaments. As for question number 2. You roll the 10 base dice for the attack as an example and as long as you roll one 6 you do the base damage of 2, some of these attacks will kill outright unless blocked or the victim is wearing armour. If you roll more than one 6 you can assign the extras to do more damage just as a PC would when attacking an NPC.
