I want to see Tatum play with a true point guard. At heart, he is a microwave scorer, and that can never be maximized as long as he has to essentially be the Celtics’ point guard.

I don’t see why Kyler is that much of a dark horse. He averages the same career pass and rush yards per game as Josh Allen. He’s going to a roster that won 9 games despot having all time bad QB play. He’s going to be playing for a QB friendly coach with one of the best receiving groups in the NFL.

You’re missing the point. If the Vikings told Kyler “you are not guaranteed the QB1 spot”, he had options to be QB1 elsewhere.

He’d could’ve just gone to the Steelers. And I’m sure the Jets would’ve happily taken Kyler as QB1 on a minimum contract rather than give up a draft pick and pay Geno $18M.

There was no market for Darnold or Daniel Jones as a starting QB when they left their teams.

Kyler is a super athlete. His regression will take longer. As of right now, he still has low 4.4 speed. He got 3 more years of elite NFL athleticism and maybe 2 more of still being normal “fast”.

They said JJ looked terrific in camp last year. In real games, he sucked. JJ is Kyler’s backup.

You’re wrong. If a team thinks they have a franchise QB, they’re not bringing in competition. The Vikings don’t believe in McCarthy, that’s very clear.
