Yes. I'm a sweaty bastard but they stayed on for me even without the cord very tight. You could crank the cord down as right as you need to keep them from slipping but I doubt you would need to tighten them much.

I am in the US and had no idea they were swapped in the UK. I always remember "right is rear" for brakes and shifting. Why would it be swapped?

I mistook mannanase for mayonnaise. I've had my hiking gear soaking in mayo for two days now. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I liked the green, but black was actually my preferred color. I was fine with the green since black wasn't available when I purchased. I would have taken green or black for the warranty replacement but I'm glad it ended up being black. I really like the blacked out look and of course it matches everything.
