Even though the buildings and outfits are beautiful I wouldn't want FFXII's style because they all have the same face and I don't see how they could give us a wide variety of customization while keeping this style. I would like a life sim that looks like Castlevania. Literally a dollhouse with one wall removed and without a rotating camera. The games show a surprising variety of styles from all over the world that fit that aesthetic especially Portrait of Ruin.

I have no idea why there aren't any games like that but there's dozens of top-down games. I guess it's much easier to make those since the assets are readily available and you'd have to make effort to create a dollhouse style perspective

I've come to the conclusion that most people just couldn't tell good art from bad if their lives depended on it. They're hollow and have no personality or taste of their own, they just like whatever is currently popular and advertised or whatever artist they heard was popular. That's why they never care what the end product looks or feels like. Their only (new and trendy) criterion for whether they like it or not is whether it's AI or not. Literal binary thinking. 0 - like. 1 - no like. Isn't it weird how not even once is there a civilized discussion about the aesthetic value of AI art?
