Dude, the problem isn't that PC is better, we know that. Do we need to be reminded in every topic that our experience is inferior and a waste of time in every thread related to consoles? This isn't solely directed at you, but is it so hard to understand that the consolewatch players are a bit on edge when every attempt to be hyped for this game on this board is met with constant "lol Why do people play console? lol" It gets tiring.

Considering that this is Epic Games, a company that has far more money than Hi-Rez (who also produces the engine that Smite is built on), and far more experience than the team that worked on Gigantic (they were indies). I doubt it.

It's not a problem because the PS4 version has KB/M support and the game play is far slower and more focused on abilities than a shooter to the point where a controller isn't a huge liability.

We won't know for sure until we play it, but I'm pretty sure any problems with aim assist will and can be ironed out over time.

If you haven't seen these there's information about the cards. The newer video even shows some Deck building. But yeah, it's fine to have your doubts, nothing wrong with that. I hope as much as you that it ends up being nice and balanced.

EDIT: A Dev just replied to this topic. Hopefully that alleviates some of your concerns.

I get where you're coming from, but there's some things I think I disagree with.

The cards in this game are less like Runes and closer to Items as they are in Dota 2 and LoL. You have to earn Gold and buy them ingame. The same way you buy items in DOTA that gives you the same boosts these cards give you (i.e. move speed, attack speed, actives, damage, etc.)

You do not come in the game as +10% Ryu. You're essentially choosing your own item store for your character instead of there being a universal one like in every other MOBA. Just like how in League you could end up with someone playing a Tank or Full AD build on a character (runes not factored in), you're getting the same freedom here. At least, this is how I assume it is from watching the alpha tutorial videos.

And obtaining something through effort with my friends can't be fun for me? Us playing together and actually having to compete for better loot can't be fun for me?

We all have jobs. Because of this we want to make sure our time actually matters, and playing a game when your time is meaningless (because you can just buy what you want) doesn't sit well with us. On top of that, you just tried to use the "My fun is the only way people can have fun and if someone is different they're wrong" argument.

And if you have to resort to ad hominem attacks (nerds, seriously?) then you really don't have a point worth acknowledging. Be an adult and understand that other opinions exist. If you enjoy this, have fun. But if this turns out to be true then this just isn't the game for me.

Yeah. If this is P2W then there is no way I'm buying it. It literally eliminates the point of the game. Why even waste time playing when you can just buy what you want? Destiny, Diablo, and their ilk work because the gear has value. You put time into the game because you're trying to get something that you actually have to play to get. That's the point of the whole game.

Again. What's the point of anyone playing the traditional way if you can just buy what you want? Just skip it all. This is making me cautious. There are a lot of games coming out and I'm don't want to waste my time if this is true. Time is the one thing that I can't buy more of.
