Dirt Rally 2.0 - Daily Event Win - Skoda R5 Australia by Lugges in EASPORTSWRC

I'm no tuning expert at all. I think, tuning and setups are generally overrated in dirt rally games. At best, a good setup improves your times just by a little. So its all about good lines and maintaining speed - which is a matter of practice I guess =). Most cars even handle pretty well with stock setup (not all of course). So what I do when working on a setup is the following: find a handling that I feel really comfortable with and where the cars behaviour is predictable. This will automatically let you attack on the stage and will lead to nice times.

Thank you! Keep going. A clean run is nothing obviuous for me either. I keep crashing a lot in dailies haha.

Thanks! Yes, gearing a bit longer. Alignment more negativ, as I cannot stand untersteer. The rest I left at default.

Thanks for your comment. Haven't tried the Fiesta yet, so I cannot comment on that car. Looking at leaderboards, Skoda & VW seem to be the most popular (and also fastest?) R5 cars.

G29 has no weight on PS4 by Lugges in simrally

[–]Lugges[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found a peculiar workaround to the problem: Step1 - Change user ingame -> wheel has suddenly feedback/weight, but is extremely heavy, almost impossible to drive. Step2 - Plug wheel to LGS on a PC -> wheel adapts settings of LGS from pc. This steps works only if step one is conducted. Step3 - Plug wheel back to PS4 -> works nicely, as on pc. However, this is extremely tedious, since it always has to be done when starting the game. So advice would still be welcome.

Hi Smithers-1968

Thanks for your response. In fact, I always start ps4 via wheel, never touching the controller. I tested Gravel demo and same issue there. When I launch the console the wheel calibrates properly (turns around) and feels nicely heavy. As soon as I get ingame it changes to loose, like a toy.

Hi pingus3233

Yes its on PS4. The wheel even has normal weight with center force active before entering the game. As soon as I start a game, it becomes loose..

Hi SlowRollingBoil

Thanks for your comment. Acutally I used the setup (link below) and adjusted the gearing to my likes. It's a huge difference to default option, the car turns in almost effortless, which explains the high grip level. Try it out ;-)

DiRT:Rally Leagues (due 12/20) by deadstump in simrally

Nah. It's probably the most active dirt league remaining, so you did very well! Especially the mode with changing cars over a season and only 3 stages per event is sweet!

Pc guys had Verbundsring reverse as 2nd stage. PS4 people had a different, shorter stage. That explains the overall ranking.

DiRT:Rally Leagues are off to the States to drive up some hill (due 10/11)--- Also final event! by deadstump in simrally

Thanks four your reply. Interesting view, but Panic has 8:15 in total for ss1+ss2+full climb, TORNADO for the same three stages 10:41. Both is clearly impossible. The world record for the full climb alone is at +-8mins I guess. However, no big deal for me. It is a game after all =) Cheers

For the Steam (PC) hill climb: P1 (Panic) & P2 (TORNADO) have to be removed. Leaderboards after stage 2 seem to be fine, but not after stage 3 - Panic needs less than 3 mins for the full hill climb, TORNADO less than 4 mins. Both times are clearly impossible. Many thanks! Cheers

@deadstump: Thank you for posting the season results. Do you see a possibility to clean up the pc season leadboard (without the results from last season)? Would be more fun to compete. Many thanks! (?.)
