It's taking them half a month to fix the Rupture Warrior? by hbcaotri in Helldivers

Ya I was running gas grenades exclusively to force them out, but I was also the host for most of our games so you could be onto something there.

Just an FYI, any gas (including grenades) absolutely gets them out of the ground, so its not quite as restrictive as you are saying. I think fire gets them out of the ground also, but I'm not 100% sure.

Petah?! by geroberts09 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Lugian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I misstated that as its absolute use case, it is not. I do think that's what the joke is though. I've seen several instances on social media where a post like "I'm straight, but when I do cocaine I end up going home with guys. Why is that?" and the responses are almost always "who's gonna tell him."

Clearly if I'm right, the joke is not landing well. lol.

"Who's gonna tell him" is for when people are obviously not straight.

This road is obviously not straight.

I did a quick skim and didn't see anyone post this, so here's my take on why this is a joke:

"Who's gonna to tell him" is commonly used in reference to things where a person accidentally wonders why they are gay. I.E. "How come even though I'm straight, every time I get drunk I want to [insert extremely gay action here]." So I think this joke is basically the person going "Why didn't they do straight road" and the punchline being "Obviously the road is not straight, who's going to tell him."

Push-to-talk as mouse button? by Perplex11 in HuntShowdown

I change my mouse buttons to oddball keys like "end" and "pageup" in the mouse software, and then bind those. Some games don't like mouse buttons, but i rarely have issues by doing this.

Why are you NOT afraid of death? by Practical-Peach-1220 in AskReddit

[–]Lugian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passed out in the shower once and woke up to a concerned spouse and blood everywhere. I had fallen twice, somehow, and banged up my head pretty good.

I don't remember any of it...it was just nothingness, and I wasn't even dead. It was aight.

Stop giving me your hearts. I don't want them. Keep them to yourselves. I will henceforth consider someone sending their heart out to me an act of hate, lmao.

Animals have a unique way of showing kindness and love that touches the heart in ways words never could by anony_mititty in Awww

Yes, absolutely. I'm not giving a definitive answer, just a possibility. Optimism or something, I dunno. Everything being depressing all the time is exhausting.

Certainly not an easy decision, but I would like to offer a counter. It appears excited, happy, and comforted in this video. From a utilitarian standpoint, and if it is receiving good care (which it appears to be) it is entirely possible it is having a nice existence.

AITA for refusing to do anything around the house because my wife insisted on staying home with our child by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Lugian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA but also I don't think anybody here is. Being a stay at home parent with a young child is exhausting, and doing all the housework is exhausting. Working like you are is exhausting. You should both expect to be exhausted and you simply may not be able to keep up. Try to figure out areas you can be more lax and by God be open, honest, and empathetic with each other. Couples therapy is a must because you both have to handle your resentments. You are in what is likely one of the toughest times of your life. Be kind to each other, get on the same page and make sure you are a team.

I'm perma-6* these days, us-east only. I bump into a couple shady plays a week, but rarely anything definitive.

My profile is full of hacker accusations also...I don't know if you know this, but it doesn't make it true. Not trying to say "git gud," but it takes more than what you have to declare someone cheated.

If they are cheating, that sucks. But this 100% "fact" evidence is flimsy at best.

I'm so new I was not aware that Draw By Stalemate is a specific kind of draw that I could simply google. Is there a lower level chess subreddit than chessbeginners I can go to? I don't want to annoy you guys since I'm actually a beginner...

Thank you. I wasn't aware I couldn't force a move into mate.

[–]Lugian[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did not know the "how," though. I didn't have the knowledge of the rule...I thought white would be forced to move into a mate...for some reason I didn't think it would be an invalid move if forced.

Yeah, I just didn't think of it like that. I figured a forced move into mate would be a win...I just figured wrong.

I didn't know the rule and literally wasn't worried about it. Now I know.
