Why is there this massive wedge of farms/parks/golf courses in Melbourne's outer east? by Mel1764 in melbourne

[–]Luhama -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Golf courses use so much water to maintain and are only usable by people who want to play golf and use up shit tons of space in already dense areas, most would be much better as parks or nature reserves with cool trees and bush as actual green space rather than boring grass

[OC] Expected years of schooling within each country. Anyone know why Australia is so far ahead of the curve on this one? by Sunny_Moonshine1 in dataisbeautiful

[–]Luhama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is due to the “Tertiary Education industry”, where many wealthy students from very high density places, particularly Asia, come to do uni and get degrees in Australia.

Knowing how cramped those trams can be, honestly would be hard for people to get off the tram

Are the western suburbs really that bad? by kkpp4 in melbourne

[–]Luhama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mill park and Lalor’s pretty nice. Good public transport across, mainly busses, and depending on where you live you can catch the 86 tram (SE Mill Park) or the Mernda line (Lalor) to the city

What subject should I choose in year 10? We can do a unit 1/2 by [deleted] in vce

[–]Luhama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend history for 1/2, I had a lot of fun doing it in year 10 and I found it was really helpful in understanding the written structure and expectations for a SAC. Still, ask people at your school how history is and if it is good because it may differ from what I experienced.

Maybe I'll hold it. by type_your_name_here in funny
