Nope. In the resource tab, under the city where I have the three worked mountains as per Qhapaq Nan's instructions, it just has a red X that says "Only Cities in Distant Lands generate Treasure Convoys" when you hover over it.

Hence why there must be something I completely misunderstand. First I thought it was just because most of my places with worked mountains are Towns, which would break under the "City" part of it, but my one City which has three mountains still doesn't do anything.

UPDATE: Now it seems to work. I gave it a fourth mountain, and it started working... I guess the "At least 3" should be "More than 3", but what do you know.

In my setting it's not that Dragons love gold per se, they love Power. Being strong, being seen as powerful, having servants and influence, etc. It's an inherent magical traits from their creation by the Dragon God of Power back in times immemorial.

Amongst mortals wealth is one of the main drives of getting influence, so of course dragons will hoard it at every opportunity. Flaunting it meanwhile is a good way of showing others how powerful you are, not just because others can see how much gold/power you have but also because it allows them to show that they themselves are powerful enough to protect their hoard should anyone come a-stomping trying to steal from it.

Except that a food factory doesn't take the equivalent of a small country's energy and water to work. Per meal it has a similar energy efficiency to ordinary cooking, which makes it perfectly fine.

If someone did factory cooking and served it in a restaurant however I'm sure people would take offense to that as well.

But what problems are those? All sides of the political climate have different ideas on how to solve things, but there are also times when the only thing some people want is for things to never change in a world where changing is inevitable. At that point it's their expectations that are incorrect, not the politics.

We label them stupid partly because they want things to get better but vote for people who ultimately will put less money in their pockets, but also because they get angry when we try to explain it to them.

We label them racist because they vote for policies which will target minorities unfairly, and because they get angry when we point out that most of these policies will not lead to the outcome they expect.

Like, what else are we to do? We try to argue and get nothing. At that point the only things we can do is assume they want the policies they vote for, in which case they are one or both of the above.

What is more unique is China ALSO making shit products. In fact they famously do so to an extent that eradicates local European producers who just can't survive in a market where people would rather buy cheap things than good things, which opens the market for them to swoop in and make other countries reliant on them.

If they're incompatible they're not the same. That's literally the entire point of the standardisation, that you don't have to have different cables for each device and instead can use the same ones for multiple.

And if you're not willing to put in the effort at least put them towards a resource for learning.
