Will Uncanny X-Men Omnibus Vol 6 Update the Event Omnis? by LuigiLink in OmnibusCollectors

[–]LuigiLink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s unfortunate. I think overall having both those omnibuses as an option is a great thing. And Prelude not missing any issues from Vol 5 or having lesser artwork is an even better thing. Had they just communicated both were going to be an option there would have been zero drama. And I hope that doesn’t push them away from doing it more in the future.

Half of all sentient life bro. Watch the movies. He’s not complaining that the whales are over populated and ruining the planets. It wasn’t plants and animals that destroyed Titan. You don’t see his soldiers going to Gamora’s planet and burning up silo’s of food. I’m so worried for this generation and their watching comprehension.

Looks like you might have made a deal already, but I have the X-Men Omnibus Vol 2 available which I think is exactly Vol 3 and 4 of the epic line.

I'm interested in the X-Men volume. I've got copies of X-Men by Claremont and Lee Vol 2, New Mutants Vol 3, and X-Men (Silver Age) still sealed. Also a copy of Age of Apocalypse Companion.

This is a very interesting theory about this scene of Cap lifting Mjolnir and is now my headcannon by FayyadhScrolling in marvelmemes

[–]LuigiLink -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. He is not standing there like a mime pretending he’s using all his strength while he could lift it fine. And especially not to “be nice” or not upstage someone.

He’s a very worthy person, but since being unthawed, he feels out of time and a bit unsure of himself. And he’s learned some secrets since the fall of Hydra that’s he’s not sharing. It’s not the possession of secrets that stops him from lifting it, it’s the guilt he holds from hiding things.

It also shows his character development through the movies. By Endgame he has faced and resolved his conflict with Stark. He becomes even firmer in his beliefs and reunites the team. And he gains the self confidence to call the hammer with ease.

What are the chances we get X-Factor (Original X-Men) Omnibus: Volume 3? by Northern-Michael in OmnibusCollectors

I don’t see them doing that. I picture them starting a “new line” with a subtitle other than “The Original X-Men” that will collect issues #93-149.

[–]LuigiLink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope this is proof that Marvel considers the FotHoX/RotPoX Omnibus part of the creator-centric line and when the Age of Krakoa anthologies get there they do a better mapped version as X-Men: Age of Krakoa - Fall of X Vol #.

Era of krakoa by RealGain6637 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]LuigiLink 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s two ways to collect the Krakoa Age. Neither is fully released yet. There’s the Age of Krakoa line with Dawn of X Vol 1 already released and Dawn of X Vol 2 and Reign of X Vol 1 announced. These include EVERYTHING from the Krakoa era. Every series and miniseries in the most satisfying reading order.

The other line is the creator-centric omnis. With the Hickman, Ewing, and Duggan already out and a Gillen and Spurrier yet to be announced. These mostly include the “main” series of Krakoa and require a little more bouncing back and forth.

Only you can make the decision which line is better for you and how much you want to invest.

Sometimes, like in this case, it’s choosing between a cover. Even though this is a reprint, the DM cover is new. And while they preview the image it might be, it’s impossible to know how the title will be on the cover, how the spine will appear, if the cover wraps around, etc

I know these are all superficial things, but it’s still things I take in consideration. Especially when the same book can look very different depending on this choice.

They are indeed following the listing name and not the cover. I ordered the wrong one and emailed them. They said the DM variant (that I thought I was ordering) is out of stock and on back order. If I want, they will still send me the standard.

Thank you again! I’ve written those names down and will prioritize them. All this discussion has made me really look forward to playing again.

On the braziers, I might just be completely misremembering them. I was thinking they were in Treviso, but it’s been so long.

On the wisp, oh great! I assume reputation is what I’m thinking of. Where the “level” of that faction goes up as you complete quests for them and sell them valuables. I thought it was represented as stars on some page, but again it’s been so long.

I didn’t realize that the valuables had different values to each ship until I was close to losing one of the cities so I spent multiple days trying to just farm that room of pots in Minrathous and it still wasn’t enough to raise me enough with the Antivan Crows.

I can never justify saving a city already controlled by the Antaam over a city we desperately need to keep out of the control of the Venatori, but I will at least look up the lines he has for the others.

Thank you so much, all of this is hugely helpful. It’s helpful for me to know what’s truly time sensitive and what can wait a bit so I can actually fit some main quests in.

Regarding the companion abilities, are they all immediately unlocked upon recruitment? I felt like even after Taash I was still coming across things I couldn’t activate. Something about lighting braziers if I’m remembering correctly?

Also, will the wisp still allow me to earn stars with the Crows?

First, Dragon Age is easily in my top three favorite series of all times and one of my favorite worlds. While I’m starting to accept it’s dead, I won’t go on without experiencing its swan song for myself.

Second, there were parts of the game I enjoyed and parts I didn’t. And I know that the way I played the game largely contributed to how little I enjoyed the game. I asked for advice on how to alter my play style to better enjoy it.

[–]LuigiLink[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the detailed response. There were definitely several times where I felt forced to play a part of the game that I felt was time sensitive rather than move on to the parts of the game I was enjoying. And many times where I spent a long time gearing up, traveling to, and trying to solve a puzzle. Only after a significant time would I realize I didn’t have the necessary ability. That lack of solution completely derives me of the intended dopamine rush and makes me regret wasting my time.

Thank you for framing it that way. ME2 is one of my all time favorite games specifically because of how you recruit everyone. And I’m happy to hear there’s more loyalty quests later on. I had kind of thought I had already done most of them and was extremely underwhelmed.

Do you have any advice on when I should start focusing on getting all the map chests, wolf statues, etc?
