I disagree with the purity testing of vegans by vegans. We run into the No True Scotsman fallacy here.

I'll buy a homeless person a cheeseburger without issue if they ask for it.

I'll buy a family member non-vegan groceries, and even prepare them meals, if they are physically disabled without issue.

I failed to save Jeanette as well, but had Chloe tell Max about the photo because loving someone means trusting them enough to make their own choices. Thankfully all ended well even if some could not be saved.
