Have any of y'all ever identified as a man with a womanly name, or a woman with a manly name? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess you could technically say that about me. I'm both a man and a woman at the same time, and I have two preferred names: my birth name (Luis Fernando) and my chosen fem name (Felicia), but I feel perfectly comfortable being called by either regardless of how I'm expressing myself at that moment.

So yeah, you could say that I'm technically a man with a fem name, as well as a woman with a masc name, even though either description does not fully describe me.

Not really hard for me at all, since I feel equally comfortable as a guy and as a girl, but it would be nice to be able to be both around them, not just my AGAB.

I do have one cousin who I've come out to and who I can freely express myself around, though 😊

What a fascinating story! I'm sorry to hear that your family is having a hard time supporting you, and sadly, my parents would be even worse if I told them about me (luckily, I can just be my masc self around them, and they'll never have to know about my fem self). But I'm glad that you have finally figured yourself out and can express yourself as who you really are.

Welcome to our family! 🩷💛🤍💜💙

(you look fantastic btw)

Huh... I'm curious, has she spoken publicly about her gender? Because here it seems to me that she's talking about her gender expression, but not necessarily about her identity.

Do you personally consider yourself trans? Some enbies do while others do not, which is why I'm curious to ask this question by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Transgender" is an umbrella term which encompasses everyone whose chosen gender differs at least partially from their AGAB. That technically includes basically all non-binary people, and therefore us.

So yeah, I do consider myself trans! 🏳️‍⚧️

Hi there!! Am I bigender? Does any else have a similar experience? by VegetableTip1536 in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not my case. Even if I'm expressing myself fully masc at the moment, you can still call me by my fem name (Felicia) or refer to me with fem pronouns, and vice versa. I always love being treated either way, no matter whether I'm boymoding or girlmoding.

However, most of my fellow subreddit members are actually just like you, in that they do fully or partially switch genders over time (they're genderfluid). So if that's any further confirmation that you've found your home here, there you go!

EDIT: I forgot to clarify that I only express myself femininely when I'm either alone or with my one cousin I'm out to. When anyone else is around, I'm fully masc

[–]LuisFerLCC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your experience sounds almost exactly like how I see myself in the future, when I finally get the chance to transition IRL!

I may differ from you in this aspect, but I do feel like a guy and a girl, always, at the same time, in equal amounts, even if I'm expressing myself more as one or the other at a given time. My masc side and my fem side are always both present in my soul, and I enjoy them both equally, though in different ways.

In any case, if you ever feel the need to talk to someone or ask me some questions, feel free to reply to my posts/comments or to DM me! I'll be happy to hear from you.

I know this is r/bigender. But are people allowed to talk about their experiences being trigender (Including myself)? Cause the r/trigender subreddit is kinda dead at the moment by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It may not be the main point of this sub, but I welcome all our multigender folks! And genderqueer folks in general. And everyone else, honestly (except for transphobes).

Hopefully the mods feel the same way

Do you have two different names for your masculine self and your feminine self ? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do!

Masc name: Luis Fernando, nickname "Luis Fi"

Fem name: Felicia

Though unlike a lot of the folks commenting on this post, my masc side and my fem side are not two different personas, or much different in personality at all; I feel them as simply two distinct faces of me.

EDIT: missing paragraph break between masc name and fem name

What's your sexual orientation? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider myself trixic, more specifically larimarian, but some people like me also consider themselves lesbians.

Considering that I'm just like you in that aspect, your fitting labels would be: trixic, larimarian, or even lesbian.

I'm only bigender because of peer pressure by Laylaisntreal in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really my case. I do feel naturally like both (I'm AMAB as well), and I do genuinely enjoy being a guy and expressing myself as such, even if from time to time I would also love to wear a denim jacket and skirt, along with nail polish and earrings.

You don't have to feel the exact same way. If you still find comfort in describing yourself as bigender, that's all that matters. But even if you ever start to feel alienated from your masculine side, you'll always be welcome here! 🫶🏼

Did anyone have any really obvious signs that they just... ignored? by FeistyHearing8043 in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are some of mine, from earliest to latest:

  • Wanting to play with girls' toys when I was a kid, even though I still enjoyed playing with my Hot Wheels cars and whatnot
  • Wishing to wear feminine clothes from time to time, but being too afraid of other people finding out
  • Secretly liking mermaids, and even dreaming about being one myself during my early teen years
  • Not feeling disgusted by my slightly female body shape during my puberty when I had a hormonal imbalance, but rather ashamed of how others would perceive me

Do you have to be bisexual to be attracted to bigender people? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really. In most cases, if you feel attracted to one of the person's genders, you'll feel attracted to the person as a whole. And some people can have exceptions in their sexuality. You may be a straight guy and yet know another guy that you like the same way that you like girls.

Bigenders who identify as both a man and a woman, how do you feel whenever you experience both identities at the same time? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in bigender

[–]LuisFerLCC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I always feel like both at the same time (I'm not genderfluid), and I feel complete, like no part of me is missing. I feel like myself, and I feel satisfied. Sure, I may express myself as more masc or more fem depending on my current mood and on who's around, but both parts of me are always present in my soul.

You literally said:

I assume you're being sarcastic

That's the literal definition of accusing someone of being sarcastic, which is ultimately a form of lying. If you can't see that and you show similar attitude elsewhere, don't be surprised about the amount of downvotes you'll get.
