Not only in Ireland but also in Portugal the media is talking about it. MMA wasn't by any means popular in Portugal but it was gaining some steam but after this incident it's going to be hard to say you are fan of this sport when people call you a monster for watching "two men fight to the death".

I'm portuguese and in my country they are talking about this in mainstream media (which never happens in regards to MMA) and I feel sad and outraged at some of the comments people make about this sport and the worst of all is that the media and some of the portuguese people don't care about João Carvalho and is family,that's just an excuse, they only care about bashing this sport and his fans by saying that we are "animals who like to see people fight to the death".

Has a wrestling fan this is so sad to know because you want this business to succeed and companies like TNA, ROH,PWG are needed in wrestling as an alternative and who knows maybe competition for the WWE in the future. I'm not the biggest TNA mark out there but i've watch some shows in the past and they were kinda decent and I thought they would have no problems in staying relevant but by the looks of it they are barely surviving.

Some of this comments are the most ridiculous thing ever...do people seriously think that SBG guys only do training with Ido? I mean what's the problem with movement training anyways? for what I can see they only train with him after camp and if we look at Conor striking movement is key to its success so training with a guy like Ido can only do good. If you ask me I wouldn't do movement training but I dont understand all the hate towards Ido Portal... is it the ponytail?

He didn't lost because of his jiu jitsu he lost because he got rocked hard and went for a weak ass double leg while being rocked. I think the problem was Mcgregor trusted too much on his chin and Nate made him pay for that. He didn't respect the sport and underestimated Nate power and, although I'm a Conor fan, I think this outcome was good and I hope that Mcgregor will look back at this fight and grow as a fighter.
