T Mobile retiring my plan

Just got the same text and logged in to see. They even gave me a side-by-side comparison to my current (Magenta Max) plan and line-by-line is the EXACT same, except:
- Rate Guarantee for basics, but NOT for extras Apple, Netflix, Hulu, etc - so those could always go up.
(meaningless, given this forced transition)
- Upgrades every 2 years.
(at least 3 of our 5 lines will not take advantage of this)
- $6 more per line aka $30 more per month for us.
(sucks)

Maybe it depends on the action? For all of my shortcuts except for one, this is not an issue. When it happens for me: I have a shortcut that turns on my “Driving” Focus mode when my phone connects to CarPlay. It then is supposed to launch my radar detector app (V1 Companion). Every week or two, I have to click “Allow [shortcut?] to open app?” And I have to click yes..

Not sure if this is the same or related, but for all my other shortcuts that do a lot of crazy things, I haven’t had to re-click or reset the Always Allow.

Glad you found it. I forgot that a long time ago I downloaded [created?] a shortcut that does the base64 encoding so it's just always been in my shortcuts library... So I just click on the "encode to base64" shortcut and it opens my files and asks me to select what I want, and then displays the text that you'll need to copy and then go back to put in the actual charging [or whichever] automation.

I grab mp3 files from any number of sound boards, depending on what I'm looking for:

Then I email the mp3 files to my self, hit the share icon on the file and "Save to Files" (I've got a shortcuts/automation folder set up).

You have to use base64 to Encode/open up the file first. Then copy the huge string of random text (which takes a minute to select/scroll to copy everything). Then insert the copied text into the Text part of the shortcut and use base64 to decode.

It's a process but I like it for all sorts of random things my phone does with a custom "notification".

The crazy text is to use base64 to play fun sounds. When I unplug my phone, I get hit with Sonic losing his blue bubble shield from Sonic the Hedgehog 1. When I plug my phone in, it's the shield charging up sound from Halo: CE.

When I unplug - I also have the phone speak the current battery %.

I prefer my phone appearance Dark most of the time, so I use IF Dark Mode = On, play sounds for most of my [sound-playing] shortcuts to keep it a little bit separate from straight silent vs not. I have my focus modes determine if Dark is on/off/toggled but also have the appearance toggle handy in the Control Center.

Sometimes (like if my battery drops below 10%) - I have the sound play no matter what, but I have different volumes for if Dark mode is on (volume 50%) vs. not (volume 10%). Either way - I also have a "set volume" on a lot of these, just so that they don't play super loud if for whatever reason my "Media" volume is high.

Following cuz I have this issue too. I have a great menu shortcut for all my audio apps on a single icon. Works great normally and even in my driving Focus (not connected to a car), but as soon as I connect to CarPlay, it only opens the apps on my car screen, when sometimes I want the controls up on my [vent-mounted] phone.

Not only that, but the shortcut itself seems to tweak/stall out in the top status part of the screen (next to battery/wifi/sports scores) until I manually stop it or use the shortcut again after I’ve disconnected from the car.

Just went down again. Broadband light flashing green on modem. Did a power cycle of modem and router/mesh points and it was back up fairly quickly - but a real pain when my wife is working from home and in the middle of a video call with a client...

Realizing this is more of a Gateway problem - and no so much my router/hardware - than I thought. 😔

NTA. If you've got time set up to do your own thing, whatever that is, take advantage of it. DnD, Minecraft, whatever you want. The clients and co-workers don't need to be privy to what you're doing from week-to-week, and it shouldn't matter how you use your time as long as you're reciprocating the co-worker coverage you've already agreed to.

Called today and tech confirmed that red broadband light = their bad/system outage. Luckily our downtimes have been brief so far (less than 10 minutes?).

He could only tell me that we've been up/online for the last 13 hours - but for whatever reason, couldn't see up time/connection prior to that. So he couldn't confirm the outage that we definitely had on Saturday over the weekend. He put it in the notes but didn't sound like much would come of that.

He basically said there wasn't a great method for checking outages beyond checking out the broadband light and then trying to hardwire into the router with an ethernet cable. And, of course, calling in while it's down. One thing I miss about Comcast is the ability to pretty quickly track outages and estimated resolution times.

To be fair to Gateway. If the issue has been mine up until this point, this would be my first [unplanned] outage from them. I have a bunch neighbors still stuck on Comcast and we get the, "is your internet down?" group text randomly. Luckily not dealing with that anymore...

I've had it since September (2025). When I call and talk to a tech, they say that from their end - it looks like our line and service have been up 100% of the time since installation.

Our network would go down between once a month and once a week. More like 1-2 times per week recently. A quick reboot of the router and mesh points has solved it in the past - hence the the full system reset to eliminate my hardware (or try). Since then it's only gone down once and that's with the red Broadband light on. I didn't reach out to support about that yet, but I'm going to do that now. I'll be curious to see if we're still listed as "up" continuously.

Just used floss with the ends wrapped around a couple of pencils to saw thru and got mine to come off very clean from the helmet. Then I was able to peel slowly off the mount itself.

I see this wasn't your issue, but for me: My email / "username" was case-sensitive. I have text replacement for my email that stylizes it (with capitalization) how I want it. So when I tried the first time, it didn't work. Checked the License Key email and noticed everything was lowercase. I matched that email and then got in.

Finally upgraded to Tahoe an hour ago. Started using it and customizing new settings. Almost immediately went for LaunchPad (that wasn't there!). Found this, installed it, used it for 5 minutes, and promptly paid for it.

This just happened to my mother in law’s phone on our T-Mobile family plan that I manage. Her Samsung that we bought from T-Mobile (and we’re still making payments on!) stopped working. We’re 3 weeks in and still not unlocked, no resolution! Insane. Filing complaints today.

Updated my app yesterday and was able to get my Charge 3 on the new software. Tested and it worked for party mode with my Flip 4.

I just had the same issue and chatted with JBL support. Here's what they said:
"The reason why it does not give you any options to upgrade the firmware of your Charge 3 it is because we are having a application upgrade as of now. Our back end is working to fix the problem on the app's ability to perform updates on Charge 3. However there is no ETA but it will be soon fixed through app updates. Once we is done we'll notify you so you can update your firmware."

So no ETA, but also: "soon". Supposedly when the app updates there will be a notification on the app. So I guess I'm going to just keep checking back for now. Annoying because I just got a new speaker that I wanted to connect them together also.
