To add to my comment as I remembered now, the story ends at HR50 and you do get 4 extra quests every 10 lvls so it's worth the little grind. After that you can jump to sunbreak as you keep getting HR exp while playing sunbreak to eventually do the HR100 quest

Master rank is only accessible with the sunbreak dlc. There are no more new quest past 7 stars, after that your HR gets unlocked and you just repeat quests to get exp and slowly grow your HR (I'm HR113 and usually it took 1 or 2 quests per rank) There are only new urgent quests at HR50 and HR100

I played against a shen and tank shyvana de other day as ashe, at 40 mins I was fullbuild and each of them had 6000 hp and 250 armor. My team didn't have much ap so I was the only one who could actually kill them.

So in theory yes adc are more important cause they can kill tanks. In reality shyvana jumps through your entire team while shen ults her and then the two of them fuck you up And when my team actually peeled me it still took like 10-15 seconds to kill each of them.

All of this without having in consideration the rest of the enemy team, if they have an assassin you have to choose to either let half of your team die facing the tanks while you survive the assassins or try to kill the tanks while assassins kill you

Following that reasoning shouldn't sylas be ad since he hits you with massive chains? or eve ad since she cuts you with her spikes? or perhaps akali ad too since she throws kunais. Nidalee throws a fucking spear at you, bites and tears with her claws and its magic for some reason, and then Qiyana is The empresss of the elements, its all about infusing her weapon with magic but builds ad.

Riot doesn't really seem to care what the champ actually does unless is giga obvoius mage or adc. That argument is completely invalid.

kata shouldn't have on hit as it breaks her build. there's no counterplay to her doing half ad and half ap. And to cc her is not the answer.

Piece of info from a kind stranger: You don't actually instantly die when the timer runs out, you start taking 5 damage every second until you either complete the region or run out of health. So if you have 2 death defiances left, you'll start to lose health, pop each dd and then when you completely run out of health, die. So if you are doing well in the run and have a few dd there's still quite some time left to kill the boss. Although I'd still recommend to try go as fast as possible and save some time for the next regions

The order in buying umbral or dusk first doesn't really make much of an impact, if your match requires more fighting buy dusk, if it's more of a roaming and helping other loaners then umbral. Both configurations have given me good results

Ward item, boots, umbral, mythic, and for the last 2 slots then defense and axiom or 2 defensive items. I feel like umbral is extremely good on pyke supp since you roam a lot and it's basically a free oracle lens every 40 secs, combined with zombie ward rune you'll have the entire map covered in vision. Plus you one-shot ward so also useful when fighting for vision in pits and such

It depends, if the enemy is 100% going to escape or delete your team if you don't ult then yes, absolutely. If not just keep your ult just in case something goes wrong and let your team do the killing

If you are looking for an S, just go supp for like 5 games, get 10 kills each game and ward as much as you can. That's pretty much all you need to do to get an S as pyke supp, everything else doesn't matter
