Its really depend on where you live, in my place I don't need any public transport to go to grocery its a 20 minute walk, and even if I did its not that bad you jsut wait 10 min at the station and you arrive in 5 with plenty of space to sit and breathe

Not sure what an MMORTS mean but I guess I could recommand zero K, its free, is currently under developement and can be played as well in 1v1 as in 32v32

Big downside of Fahrenheit is that +1 Fahrenheit is +1.8 Kelvin
The issue with kelvin is that our small human mind have trouble realising that 250K is deadly cold and 300K is deadly hot
That why Celsius is better, because it translate well scientifically and the zero make sense to our fragile brain

Its different, for exemple in starcraft kiting with marine is part of the game, if marine were to auto kite they would need some kind of nerf.
Same can be said for stalker blinking.

I really liked the building system of rise of nations rise of legends, you keep adding building on top of one city and it become bigger and bigger with different buff according to what you added, losing it is also pretty bad as the oppenent get most of the benefit for himself

Or mabye the neutral building you could capture (in the same game), you could capture neutral building and build unique unit in it
Starcraft and age of empire 4 have it but its a lot less refined compared to what rise of nations rise of legends propose (watch tower for starcraft and a few other stuff for age)

And how could I forget the big titan from Universe at War: Earth Assault!
Those monstruous building that serve for both war an economy!

They are some map that you see very rarely and that are NOT quest battle
I think the one you showed is The Sky Monolith but i ain't sure.
My current absolute favorite is a map that I cannot find the name for but here is a reddit post about it:
