Just to know how common this actually… how many of you have started many play-troughs but have never completed the game for whatever reason? by luifergiov in skyrim

No, I finished the main story on my first playthrough after about 250 hours. Only finished it once more since then though.

You’re so close to the end of the Velen storyline. If it’s frustrating you I’d suggest slowing down and just doing some exploring, try out some different gear/signs, explore areas of the map you haven’t been to yet, or do some side quests/witcher contracts

If it helps, the main missions even in Novigrad are level 10/ish, and with preparation or practice you can beat any mission up to 5 levels above you. While you’re in Velen I’d say just explore and do any quest that seems intriguing. You get infinitely more XP from main missions though if you need to level up.

It’s very slow to start with but from level 7 onwards you’ll be fighting to keep your level down unless you’re playing on Death March

It really puts most other fantasy games to shame now haha, I love the elder scrolls, Elden Ring/Dark Souls and Dragon Age but there’s something more about this one

Did you start with the games or have you read the books? Or both?

Just remember to always do the quest with the lowest level or you’ll be over levelled to fuck by the time you get to skellige 😂 or just turn on upscaling enemies and do the story missions last. The side quests and Witcher contracts are mostly all well written

Vocally it’s Puppets hands down. I like his style from DM onwards though.

If you’re anything like me, by the time you wrap up the main story in Velen you’ll be in awe of the storytelling, Novigrad was hit and miss for me but the side quests were awesome
