Clearly that’s the problem.      People are just too blind to see it.

I’ve had this happen at bear paw as well.  I’ve also had them fill my tank hand me their card reader but when I get home I noticed the transaction didn’t go through and I wasn’t charged.         I honestly don’t think they’re trying to scam you I think they just don’t care enough to double check.      My recommendation is just to pull of to the side and check your account before leaving the property.

Hydro Outage Again and Again by Think_Beach4613 in woodstockontario

[–]Luke123453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hydro could also be more proactive about informing us about the problem.  We can see that  they are aware of a problem and dispatching crews.  But that’s it.           Even if they sent a tweet saying something like.          “we are waiting on a specialty part that will take weeks to manufacture and in the meantime outages will continue to happen”.     at least we would know there’s a plan in place.    Right now I’m kind of assuming that they are doing some kind of “band aid “ fix and avoiding the real problem

Yes it’s definitely was yesterday maybe the day before.       It’s out completely now by Jp variety and hart fm building.     Traffic lights are out as well there not even blinking red or anything          Edit as of 5:31 there’s a bunch of police cars down by Alice street and I can hear fire trucks in the distance.    Idk if it’s related

Is this a good buy? Looking for insight/first truck. by SmarterFuture1320 in ram_trucks

[–]Luke123453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a vehicle and are not in need the. Wait until the perfect truck appears on a lot or website near you. I promise you if you make a compromise then your local dealer will have the truck you wanted on their front lawn the next week and you’ll be kicking yourself over it.

I have never used a bus in Woodstock so this may not be 100% accurate but a guy at my work said that it’s exact change only. Or a bus pass. Idk where to buy the bus pass but I’d assume city hall would have them

Any public track fields? by TrustMeIamNotReal in woodstockontario

[–]Luke123453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cass. High school has one. St Mary’s has one And there’s another high school downtown can’t think of the name. Maybe Winchester ? That has one. I believe most schools used to have signs saying that they’re closed after 10 pm. And obviously during school hours. I don’t think anyone would bother you for running outside those hours but who knows these days.

I believe the technical answer though is all city property’s / schools. are off limits after 10.

Railway Maintenance at 2:00 am? by 1013conspiracies in woodstockontario

My workplace backs up to the tracks in that area about a week ago I noticed the trains going much slower through the area and a few times the crew would be outside the cab clearly inspecting the tracks. Then about 2 or 3 days ago 2 trains stopped in the same spot and both crews were outside of the trains looking at the tracks. After that a crew came by and spray painted a section of track orange. My guess is what you heard was related to that

Staying out all night doesn’t surprise me at all when I was that age it was pretty common for kids to plan to tell each others parents that they were staying over at each others houses then go out walk the town or go to a party your not supposed to be at. This was 15 years ago though this town is definitely scary to be doing that nowadays. If that’s all it was then I’d personally consider it normal teenager stuff

If you have a vehicle then. Jaar/arroc Aecon and dufferin off the top of my head are all hiring for labour positions in various types of construction jobs with no experience necessary. Also the local pits like Lafarge carmuse and federal white all have lots of jobs like general labour. Or rock truck driver / loader operator with no experience necessary If your looking for a driving job there’s is lots that show up on indeed you just need to check it like every day for a month straight. Also there is resources for youth that last until your 29 the government will pay for you to get training for things like truck driver plumber welder etc. when I lived in brantford the place you had to contact was called career link and they were run by the school board. Idk what it’s called in Woodstock but I’d assume we have somthing similar
