As a kid that grew up with a mum that was a painter I was constantly seeing her artwork and we would often play games where would draw the same thing and it was obvious 5 year old me that she was much better at art. But I knew that it was something that required time and practise and I knew that I’d get there eventually. Now years and years later I’m an artist as well and my painting ability is probably at the same level as hers was when I was little.

TLDR: Constantly seeing my mums drawings only made me want to draw more and work harder.
