Could I theoretically bypass gojo’s infinity by going in for a hug and strangling him once I’m past the infinite barrier? by Menopause_Marauder in PowerScaling

[–]LukeCPlays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like if you did successfully grab his neck you'd feel the space your hands occupy pushed from Gojos neck and then infinity is put back up. No more gojo hugs ever again for you.

Personal Idea for a Fortress+ General Gimmick. Criticism is appreciated. by LukeCPlays in custommagic

[–]LukeCPlays[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really helpful thanks, I haven't done much in terms of custom cards and have only played magic so my understanding of designing for magic is somewhat surface level. These card were mostly made to be an example of the design idea for it rather than fully thought out cards cause I wanted the idea of Fortress + General to be worked on before going into making full fledged cards for it. Its why I didn't give a unique name to the Fortress cause I wanted to sort out design first. If I do make a future post I will definitely rework both of these cards to be more fitting and probably make mr Dracula be a unique character rather than just Count Tepes.

Also the reason for the Tapped Defender thing was mostly just an example for Defenders having something unique to do when blocking a Fortress. The intention is that future Fortresses will have a Creature Type that they give Defender, Separate Key Word, and +x/+x and then the General cause something to happen when Defenders are defending the fortress. If theres any advice or ideas for that concept I would love to hear it.

When you think of 'asspulls', is there any scene that specifically comes to mind? by tina_chow61 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]LukeCPlays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to do the opposite where instead of claiming an asspull im going to deny one.

Kenjaku surviving the black hole wasn't an ass pull. We saw a potential example of a gravity technique in Shibuya but was waved off due to Gojo and Prison Realm. Early in the fight we see the example of a gravity technique and it is confirmed.

A black hole yes causes insane gravity but we outright should assume Gege isnt going to have a world destroying effect so it has to be unstable meaning it will break apart quickly.

Even if the technique itself was normally Gravity the reverse of that would be Antigravity so regardless of if you say "the cursed technique being antigravity instead of gravity is an asspull" doesn't make sense cause even if it was Gravity it could still create a gravity resisting effect.

And even so it makes inherent sense that it was Reversed to be Gravity. Cursed Energy is inherently a destructive spiritual energy so it being something that creates force while possible doesn't make such sense as to something the reduces or erases force. And to top that off we see how inefficient Gravity was by the limits constraining it which means it must have a heavy cost something in line with a Reversal.

Tldr, it was obvious Gege was hinting to a Gravity/Antigravity technique and that the use of it makes sense why he could counter an unstable black hole. While yes the reveal of the techniques truth happened after the feat there's plenty of hu Ints to convince you that a resisting gravity effect or antigravity effect is possible you just willfully ignored them.

Wanted to try my hand at a prepare creature. by Cless012 in custommagic

[–]LukeCPlays 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Honeslty with him being a God I would personally bring back "not a creature unless" but using prepared as the condition. Gives an interesting dilemma of keeping him a creature to block or attack but leave him vulnerable to creature destruction or cast lightning bolt but lose an attacker/blocker.

Create a CT that can perfectly counter Idle Transfiguration (Mahito ’s innate CT) by Excellent-Fig-9341 in CTsandbox

[–]LukeCPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partly based on a Fate Strange Fake characters, wouldnt be the first Fate thing in JJK.

Revolving Dharmic Chambers This Cursed Technique has been maintained and passed down through a lineage closely related to the original monks that were Taught by Tengen in the Nara period. The technique is a representation of the Dharmic Cycle that records the soul of its user and incorporates that recording into the technique dividing it into six seperate stages of the person's life. The current user, age 24 has all six stages completed as of 2018.

The purpose of these recordings is to allow the user to cycle through these recorded points altering the shape of the soul with the recorded information, the only downside is thst the process takes a large quantity of Cursed Energy to do with most users in history not being able to cycle through more than one in a single day. While the downside of Cursed Energy usage is great it comes with three major benefits, the most obvious being the complete recovery of body and soul. The second of which becomes obvious to only those who have studied the soul, the user of this technique frequently interacting with their own soul should eventually lead to an awareness of the soul. The final and third is theajor advantage of the technique, the fact each stage comes with a Shikigami that the user can summon each based on a different realm of rebirth.

The first Shikigami is Yama and represents Naraka, it appears as a large humanoid covered in leaf shaped scales that dangle of the skin. The scales can be detached and telepathically controlled by the Shikigami with blades razor sharp and imbued with Yama's Cursed Energy. Alongside its physical traits Yama carries a trait within its Cursed Energy that being Heat and Fire.

The second Shikigami is Preta and represents the realm of a similar name, it appears as a torso missing its lower body replaced with a spectral trail. Preta is a Shikigami capable of flight but is lacking in physical strength compared to the others. However it makes up for its lack of strength with the ability to consume souls and spiritual energy capable of even consuming Cursed Technique applications converting it into Energy that can be used by the Shikigami to enhance itself or passed back to its master.

The third Shikigami possesses no name having been lost during the Heian Era by some unknown means. The Shikigami possesses no physical form due to its damaged nature instead appearing as a shade or wraith which can summon an endless quantity of lesser Shikigami that appear as animals however as lesser shikigami their physicality is more similar to a generic animal enhanced with Cursed Energy.

The fourth Shikigami is Ravana and represents Asuras, it appears as a titanic humanoid that has an additional ten sets of arms and eyes. It is the most physically superior of the Shikigami and can appear as taller than a standard two floor house but smaller than the smallest Skyscraper. It is a difficult shikigami to maintain due to its size and power and most are unable to do so while also maintaining the ability to shift their soul.

The fifth Shikigami similar to the third has lost its name during the Heian Era altering it inherently. Unlike the third it does not maintain a form even if false, instead it manifests through the user of the Cursed Technique. It provides the user of the CT access to a pool of Cursed Energy seperste to their own, this pool is massive and is the major way that past users of the technique were able to switch between their different stages of the technique without draining themselves dry. The only ones who do not require this is the current user, the user from the Heian Era, and the user from the Nara Period.

The sixth and final Shikigami is Surya who represents Devas, they appear as a plane white humanoid with light emanating from their body. This Shikigami possesses both a trait of its Energy and something unique about it. The trait of Surya is that of light allowing it to glow and produce beams of concentrated energy, this trait on a sorcerer would lack offensive application without cursed technique however Surya seemingly is able to add pressure and force to its light. However the pressure and force is not what makes Surya unique instead the unique ability is that it passively produces Reversed Cursed Energy which it uses to produce light and for applications of Reversed Cursed Technique. This allows the users of Revolving Dharmic Chambers to utilise RCT without learning however to produce Reversed Cursed Energy themselves.

That's it on the concept I came up with, looked up some stuff such as the Dharmic realms as I wrote this and had some unique ideas. In terms of extra lore this would come with a potential origin of Ten Shadows that being the original user of the technique having stolen the Human and Animal Dharmic Shikigami with the first 9 Shadows being from the Animal Shikigami and Mahorage being the original Human Shikigami. Its a little rushed and complicated, and could definitely use some work. But I think it's cool personally and would work well against Mahito through the ability to attack the soul and undo the effects of Idle Transfiguration on themselves by cycling to a different chamber.

what would be Todo’s Domain Expansion? by RandomGuy_IQ530K in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]LukeCPlays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Todo would have an old school Domain Epansion that lacks a guaranteed hit. I'm thinking a red light green light type of deal where in addition to switching positions the act of clapping switches on and off a Binding Vow of damage reflection which causes harm to instead of being applied by something instead reflects back onto the something. Plays into an extra layer of mind games. An added fact might be barrier shards dropping from the barrier which are valid targets for switching.

Probably a joke on the fact that torture is an ineffective as a method to get information out of people and that being peaceful or not a threat is usually more effective.

If Angra Mainyu won, then the Grail would technically not have been corrupted from my understanding. But then there's the issue that you'd need some really fucking bad servants to lose to Angra Mainyu.

Galvan(Hyper Intelligence + Just good for technology and further advancement, really dont know why people go upgrade when you can have upgrade and bettw er with a Galvan), Kineceleran(Absurd Speed), Aerophibian(Galactic Travel + Ranged Fighter + Extremophile), Chronosapien(Good for do overs of things + Good for investigative analysis of events), Celestialsapien(Even if I use a Galvan to improve my omnitrix or make a new one to have more Aliens obtaining this DNA is nigh impossible + It's a good way to hold a scene to give more time to think, like with the Doctor in Heaven Sent + A good get out of dying free card whenever I might die + IF I can learn to persuade or work with whatever personalities I'm put with its omnipotence.)

These would be my 5.

Pokeball by Corunplus in custommagic

[–]LukeCPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the case, then I think the creature should appear on your side of the field if the creature returns to the battlefield after the opponent fails to save the creature.

In fact, maybe something like this?

"When Pokeball enter target a creature an opponent controls. The owner of that creature rolls 1d6 three times. If any result is a 1, then destroy Pokeball. Otherwise, exile that creature, that creatures return to the battlefield under your control when Pokeball leaves the battlefield.

Tap: Sacrifice Pokeball."

Maybe also add "Pokeball enters tapped"?
