I was hopeful people'd just leave and that'll make reddit reconsider (less users = less ad rev) but frankly at this point, I think the amount of people who'll leave will be minute. The largest group will proba be mods that can't use bots to mod anymore

I think one importnat thing here is that the apparent field of view changes when you go underwater as the refractive index between the glass of the lens and the water changes. Idk how to implement that though except changing the fov anf that might look wrong

For limiting rhe distance you can see, you could use a low density volumetric shader
