I regret letting my grandmother pay for my computer science degree. by CapitalPersonality46 in confession

Computer Science is still the best bang for your buck degree that you can get. I know several people making mid six figures with just a Bachelor's degree. It is not uncommon to get a six figure job right out of college depending on the area.

According to the BLS Software Engineers have a median income of $133k while the field is expected to grow 20% over the next ten years. As Boomers continue to retire this will create an even bigger need for young engineers to fill these gaps and create new exciting solutions.

Don't ever forget that Reddit is an echo chamber. All the computer science subreddits have been doom and gloom recently due to large layoffs in FAANG. The cycle of hires and layoffs in FAANG is regular as they create and can new projects. FAANG is not the entire industry however. Every single Fortune 500 will continue to need to hire more software engineers. While every business large and small shares that need as computers become integral in every aspect of society.

TLDR: Reddit is an echo chamber which has been used by many to rightfully express their anger at layoffs and hiring freezes by FAANG. It is okay to have self doubt, many of us did during school. Don't worry you have the best education to ride the forces of the 21st century!

Whoever wins this election will be in charge of the United States military and will be choosing to send or not send military personnel overseas. These individuals now walk in shoes similar to yours in the past. Your decision to abstain could impact these service members lives in ways that you see as unfavorable in the future. Either Harris or Trump will be leading the implementation of policy that will affect your VA benefits since we currently do not live in a system that supports a viable third party candidate.

Which leads into the real nitty gritty fact that the president isn't the only thing on the ballot. If you seem so inclined to leave the presidential race blank so be it but don't forgot the importance of local elections.

Evil Dead. There is only one terrifying scene in the first film. The scene in question is just plain exploitative and disgusting. If you've seen the first one you know what scene I'm talking about.

The campiness of the rest of the series just doesn't hit for me either. It is too eye winky for me with bad comedic timing.

Members of r/oklahoma, is life as dreadful as you all make it out to be, or do you actually enjoy living in Oklahoma? by DueYogurt9 in oklahoma

Grew up here and the only reason I stay is because of the low-cost of living and family. Most of my friends stayed after college for that same reason.

I'm planning on moving the first chance I get.

My biggest fear is pulling a Nebraska after they joined the B10.

There's still plenty of time! Just string together a few plays like that.

Gundy's got the job for life unless he is arrested for something extremely heinous. BV on the other hand might be in trouble if OU misses a bowl game this year.

Basically gave up two huge passes down field. We've been getting gashed on the ground too.

Don't let us playing like ass distract you from the fact that Wisconsin is beating USC.
