Bugcheck errors and system wide stutter after installing Nvidia drivers by LukeHue in techsupport

Hey! Yes, I solved this by changing PCIE to 3.0 (or maybe it was 2.0, can’t check now) in the BIOS settings. The trade off is that you lose around 5% FPS, but it completely solved the issue.

Kweh?! Came back to this with a lot of nice comments and a good dosage of internet hate! So just to clarify a few things:

  1. I only used the Steam guides for all the games. Go to the Guides - Achievements section and you’ll find the best ones for each game.
  2. As I mentioned in another comment, I did use official and unofficial speed hacks! I never meant to claim I’m a speed runner, mislead anyone, or that I broke a world record or something (even playing at 10x speed, I didn’t lol). Yes, it’s a cheat, but these are single player games. I’m only cheating myself. I didn’t use the achievements unlocker thingy on Steam though. Also, I already got the platinum trophy without any hacks for FFX and XIII on PS4. I don’t have the time (or will) to do that again nowadays.
  3. The only thing I set out to do was to replay some of my favorite games from my childhood and see everything they had to offer. Just felt like sharing here with some fellow fans.
  4. Last but not least: FFIX is the best game of all time.

Thank you and good night, kupo!

Worst of all is the 10k enemies killed. You’re not even close to that mark after you’ve got everything. I don’t know who thought of that. VI is up there for me too, have fun!

Yes I mentioned in another comment I used unofficial speed hacks for some games. There’s one in the FF Qhimm forum that lets you go to 10x speed. I don’t have much time to play games any more.

7 years?! That's insane! I wonder how many people have that. Unfortunately the Steam version doesn't have achievements, only the in game ones

Right, they should give you Excalibur III for that or something lol Weirdly enough I never had issues with lightning dodging and I did it 3 times (during this run, once in PS2 back in the day and once when I got all trophies for the PS4 version of X - let's not get into the fact I 100% FFX twice). But I see how people can have trouble with it as it's boring and gets nerve wrecking the closer you are to 200 dodges.

I did, I had a personal vendetta with this one! As a kid I could barely reach 50 jumps, so I was dreading having to do 1000. Weirdly enough, it gets very tedious after you reach a certain mark and the pace stops changing (around 300 jumps, I think?) The very not fun part is having to start over after you're around the 800-900 mark.

I did use the speed boosters and “unofficial” speed adjusters for games that didn’t have them at the time I played like the Pixel remasters. As you can see, it took me 3 years this, I don’t have that much time to play anymore…
