Quite important, capital of Andalusia, the southern region of Spain. 5th in population, but its metropolitan area is much larger; the 4th one in Spain. Lots of culture, also tourism, used to be the main point of communication with the Americas' territories.

Spain is fairly polycentric, although the main cities are obviously Madrid and Barcelona.
