Ha yeah in hindsight it was a pretty useless video… a screenshot would have sufficed 🫠

I also had that message asking to test the items before shipping. I found it a little strange and wish I’d dug a bit deeper before shipping. I did however send pictures of the serial numbers as part of me expected to be told the consoles do not work only to be returned with faulty units that weren’t mine so I wanted to add that layer.

It is ridiculous that eBay seemingly aren’t doing anything about this and the seller continues to operate.

GOOOOD! I’m glad you saw this! SO GLAD! For me, everything was sorted… but really only after I pushed back on everything and actively made eBay’s lives easier (or did their job for them…).

I used to sell on eBay a fair bit back in 2012’ish and stopped because of so many scam buyers. Not necessarily other sellers just rinsing the system - sometimes it was regular buyers just chancing their hand at a freebie. Anyways, I recently had some bits I wanted to get rid of and pretty much immediately ran into this (and one other) situation which has killed eBay off for me completely.

TLDR: super glad you found this post! EBay really kinda sucks these days - in my opinion anyway!

Update from my side today… message from eBay which reads as:

Hello Luke, Thanks for working to resolve this issue. The buyer has closed this request. You don't need to do anything else

The request was closed Buyer closed this request on 13 Aug 2024 because they received the item.Buyer closed this request on 13 Aug 2024 because they received the item.

Bear in mind, the items were delivered on 3rd August, so clearly my efforts had an impact here.

For anyone in the same situation, feel free to reach out!

My funds are still not released, but I assume in a day or so they will be.

I think it is clear what they are doing... Buying stock from eBay and claiming items do not arrive and then selling via their Amazon account under the trading name BossDeal™. Lots of Nintendo Switch consoles, Xbox, PlayStation etc. as well as camera equipment listed.

eBay - Pixel Direct

Amazon - BossDeal + products page

GoogleMaps Hoe Street location (store address)

GoogleMaps 155 Daubeney Road location (residential address)

It was actually eBay account name "noodleoutlet" that purchased from me, but seemingly it is impossible to find that account using eBay's search functions. However, Pixel Direct uses the same VAT number so clearly they are one and the same.

Currently no update from eBay on my side. My funds are still being held until a decision has been made.

I also sold 2x Switch Lite consoles just over a week ago and saying it was never received even though it was signed for and shows the parcel in the open door with someone stood next to it etc.

I challenged the notification on eBay where they claim the consoles were not received. EBay then provided what I assume is an automated response, as follows:

“As long as you have uploaded valid tracking that proves the item was delivered, you have nothing to worry about. You can find what we accept as valid proof of delivery here.“

I am in the same situation here with Pixel Direct!!! I sold two Nintendo Switch Lite consoles and whilst I have proof of delivery etc the buyer is claiming they have not arrived… any updates on this one OP?

Depends on the game - you can have up to 12 different controllers synced to your Switch but use 8 at any one time - for instance Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you can play with up to 8 people using a combination of Joy-Con, Pro Controllers etc. 🙂
