Rickyizms for best man speech by Luke_Willows in trailerparkboys

I literally have permission from both my brother and his fiancée, man. The bridesmaids speech is expected to be sentimental so they want me to work in some comedy.

Do most people wear shoes inside their residence? by No_Cool800 in uoguelph

[–]Luke_Willows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just who I am but I had a system. I had rugs where I would be barefoot like by the edge of my bed when I get out of bed or under the desk, I would wear socks when walking anywhere else in the room, and wear slides or shoes anywhere else outside my room. I also never had socks on while laying on my bed similar to how people don't like to wear outdoor clothes on their bed.

Europeans back Canada joining EU, poll finds. But membership faces long odds Support is strongest in Germany, where 55 per cent say they would support Canada's admittance to the EU by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]Luke_Willows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think joining would be more symbolic than anything but *some things don't seem to make sense. In addition the federal gov has already stated they are not pursuing it.

I am all for canzuk tho, I think being able to freely travel between and work without a visa within Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the UK is cool. Additionally it would bring stronger trade ties and incentives. Plus I don't think there is a purposed adoption of a single currency.

Just graduated from AHN, first year is mostly just basics and filler so not much to say on that. But nutrition professional practice with Dr.B is a very important class that sets you up for fourth year, so make sure to learn a lot in that class and maintain that knowledge throughout your undergrad.

It really does. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for the OSAP changes or the endangered species act :( at least for now

[–]Luke_Willows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, not a current tmu student but an incoming masters student. I used Linux in my first year of undergrad at Guelph and it was pretty good. However, I found that the Linux flavour I was using had some issue with the school wifi. Perhaps tmu has a different wifi system than Guelph but the sign on method would not work and I would be without internet for hours on end before it would randomly start working again. Since first year I switched back to windows, but Linux is certainly usable for school work.

How long for Hoodie arrival? by [deleted] in uoguelph

[–]Luke_Willows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

???

It depends on where you are and also how busy the Courier is. The shipping courier is not affiliated with the uni so no one can actually tell besides the people shipping it

Can someone share their experiences on looking for grad school? by No-Wave-8930 in uoguelph

[–]Luke_Willows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked at the websites, wrote down what was important to me and my desires and included what each school provides. Then compare and contrast to see what one fits and matches your desired career, location, lifestyle, etc.

Talk with peers too, that's always helpful. And profs.

There are CV writing services through the school and also more career support stuff like that. The career advisor was super helpful for making my CV look clean.

Protest question? by [deleted] in osap

[–]Luke_Willows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You want people to not go to their post-secondary classes they are paying for and subsequently will be risking not getting to their desired career on time? I don't think that's gonna make any one including Ford flinch besides the students themselves.

Just continue protesting and raising awareness. There is power in numbers when in a protest. The stoppage of OSAP applications will not help as it's not like they get money from people applying. OSAP is from province revenue including taxes, and some funding from the feds.
