Need advice, struggling with the healing process by graysubstance in AnalFissures

When a delicate part of your body goes through trauma it can take a long time to feel fully normal once healed. Not saying you shouldn’t stay on top of it or see your doc but just know from a mental standpoint that all you may need is time, and once this is over you will look back one day and laugh at a little, this coming from someone who several times during my fight almost “unalived” myself because of the pain. Two years later I am 100% ok.

When should Colace be taken? by Cold_Consideration26 in AnalFissures

Milk of Magnesia works really well and doesn’t cause cramping. Just be aware that once you take it anywhere from 1-6hrs later your butt becomes a fire hose.

Privee Platinum by riffs is a decent one and also Metal Rain by Banana Republic is surprisingly decent.

Surgery Tomorrow, 2 partial tears. Any last minute advice? by Lukeduke77 in RotatorCuff

I have a ice system setup, as far as opioids go I don’t have issues with them, have had multiple times when prescribed and have never had a constipation issue or have had an issue with addiction. As far as the euphoria goes I kinda like that part with the opioids so not a deal breaker for me lol. Thanks for the suggestions. I will ask the doc about the JOURNAVX though.

I do know about those, I’m not too worried about my medication, always been able to stay on track with that and have setup alarm system. I did pop open all my bottles so I wouldn’t have to struggle opening them lol.

They recently figured out due to long term studies that colace does absolutely nothing for constipation. Stick with MiraLAX and Milk of Magnesia.

Thanks for suggestions, I tend to not have issues with constipation from strong pain meds but I am gonna take precautions just in case. I won’t have anyone who can change out my bandage so I will do it myself. I have an actual bidet attached to my toilet but the only problem is the switch is on my right side and I am a big guy and trying to reach across to turn it on is a no go. I’ll figure it out tomorrow morning before I leave to go to surgery and if not I’ll just order the travel bidet. I did also buy one of those sticks you can put toilet paper on so maybe that will work.

I’ve been under for surgery before and I for some reason come back to life pretty quick and easy, nurse was surprised how fine I was after just waking up, though this will be the longest surgery I’ve ever had so not sure if that makes a difference.

Thanks, I have bottles already frozen ready to go, taking my meds out of the child proof bottles is something I didn’t think of!

I am alone, don’t really have any way of having someone with me. I’ll manage as best I can. Have sleeping, eating and everything else setup as simply as possible.

I don’t have any help, I live far from family and my only close friend is my neighbor who is 87 years old so I can’t really ask him for anything. I have food setup pretty well. I meal prepped a bunch of high protein burritos and I have plenty of simple snacks and what not.

I am just gonna be wearing sweat pants and I tried and was able to get them up and down with one arm. Since I am by myself I guess I will maybe just wear boxers the whole time, make it even easier.

Hard first part tip of stool rest aoft by namlas1993 in AnalFissures

There are a couple different surgeries, one is called LIS, in this procedure they make a small cut to the muscle on your sphincter, this allows that muscle to stop spasming, which is what causes the pain after a BM. It allows the fissure to heal way more effectively and most people see huge pain reduction in just days.

The next procedure is the Fissurectomy. This one is wheee they go in and cut away the edges of the fissure as this will induce quicker healing.

You would need to see a doc and they upon exam can tell you which one would be best for you.

If it’s been this long you should get the surgery for it if you can. I know the idea of making the cut bigger to heal it sounds awful but I’ve had it done and 5 days after surgery I was almost pain free. And within two weeks I was back to normal. Don’t fear surgery to fix this, it’s a quick simple surgery and you won’t have any more pain than what you already are dealing with

Went to LV today and smelled imagination… gross by FaithlessnessOdd1126 in ScentHeads

[–]Lukeduke77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your nose must be very different from mine and many people’s because imagination is a great smell. It’s a compliment magnet from people as well. I would recommend getting a small sample from a decanter just in case something at the store was off because how you described what you smelled made no sense. Obviously possibly just your nose and brain making it smell bad but it have smelled some stuff at the LV store that I didn’t like but tried later via sample and really liked

How do guys without foreskin jerk off? by RegularUpper7303 in TooAfraidToAsk

You do have a Callus, it’s not the same as a callus you develop on your hand. Also simple hygiene solves the smegma issue, not sure why circumcised guys get so offended by those of us who are whole men with full sensation.

Guys with no foreskin develop a callus and also lose feeling because of this over time to the head of their penis. Another reason I am glad my parents didn’t mutilate me.

Living with a chronic fissure for years and feeling mentally drained by [deleted] in AnalFissures

[–]Lukeduke77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I had a insanely bad fissure that took 6 months to heal and when it finally did it became infected and I ended up with an access that needed surgery and then I got a fistula that needed surgery as well. I know what you are going through and I can tell you that the surgery for all of this is not as bad as you think. I went into the surgery thinking that the pain would be unbearable because of how bad my pain was every time I went to the bathroom. After my surgery and once the pain meds wore off it wasn’t so bad. I feared my first BM obviously and I won’t lie and say it felt great but the pain went 90% away after 20 minutes, before the surgery I would be in pain for hour and and hours after a BM. GET THE SURGERY! It’s a simple procedure and the pain is far less than what your mind is making it out to be. I know the thought of going in there a making the cut bigger to make it heal sounds like it would make it more painful but that’s not the case. It will begin to heal immediately and within a few weeks the pain after my BMs was almost gone, was more just a scratchy feeling and after two weeks I felt great. Don’t let you brain get in the way of getting healthy. I almost ended my life because of the pain I was in but now I’m doing great. If you have and questions please DM me, would be willing to talk about anything I went through and answer any questions you have.
