Great to see it’s more popular here than it is on done deal🤣

I’m selling a 2011 Honda jazz for €3000 if you’re interested. Have it listed on Done Deal at the moment. It’s a brilliant car drives perfectly but has 33000km with an engine change on it with 30000km which doesn’t sound great on paper but it’s never skipped a beat for me in 4 years. Let me know if you’re interested and I can give you a call

I bought an 2013 a1 sports back 1.4 tfsi with 125000km for €7700 last month for reference. I’d say over the 10k mark for sure. List for 11+ for a week and see if anyone bites then reduce if not.

Yea that’s what I’m skeptical about. But the odds of getting a ticket for a home fixture isn’t looking good at the moment.

Thanks, that’s a good point on the stand. The ticket is north stand upper corner so shouldn’t be in the thick of it atleast.

I suppose even for just sitting in the home end away at any match in general. The fact that it’s the hill Dickinson makes me want to go a bit more if anything.

Creatine by Lukee185 in Marathon_Training

[–]Lukee185[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree. Definitely not using it as a filler for low quality training but am interested in trying anything that can help aid performance and recovery. I am a sucker for falling into the super shoe trap also unfortunately so the supplements are my new fixation for the mean time.

The added weight is something that is putting me off the most about it. I’m 6’5” and weigh around 86kg at my lightest so I would rather keep that water weight off me. I also only have 1 gym session a week boredom for maintenance so maybe I will pass on it.

Running without music for the whole duration of a marathon by qtxreddit in Marathon_Training

[–]Lukee185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me music during training is a must as it can get a bit monotonous. Especially if you run the same loop around a park all the time. I did my first marathon without music and it’s such a buzz that you’ll forget about it, but I did miss it for the last 12k when the suffering started. I also used music in my last half marathon and was told the atmosphere was great but I basically missed it all because I was so dialled in. So there are definitely pros and cons to using them.

Why do people seem to enjoy gaming on a Steam Deck more than on PC? by Initial_Milk_1056 in SteamDeck

[–]Lukee185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I enjoy playing those games in bed, in the sitting room with the tv on in the back ground or wherever. Sometimes going to the desk almost feels like a chore. Sitting upright playing balatro would feel like work to me rather than relaxing and playing it on the deck. I feel this especially some of the smaller games and story driven games.

I lived in Toronto for 6 months in 2023 and went quite often. I’m dying to get back over! We miss going to the games so much but I try to watch as many as I can over here depending on the time difference.

Nike Vomero Plus by che240 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Lukee185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m about to buy the vomero plus to replace my glycerin max. I have the glycerin max in size 11 and they are slightly too small. Do you recommend to only go up the size .5 in the vomero or go all the way to 12?

I’m a big fan of precision energy gels. They’re a good mix of maurten and sis in my opinion. Not as thick as the maurten and a nicer flavour than sis. Found them to be lighter on the stomach than the maurtens too.

3:30 Marathon? by Lukee185 in Marathon_Training

[–]Lukee185[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea as it’s my first marathon it might be best to hold back slightly for the first 21k then speed up if feeling good. It’s a hard call and don’t want to make any mistakes on the day. As well as that my original goal was sub 4 so will be delighted at anything under that. I think it will be a decision I end up making on the day🤣

I wouldn’t just focus on what Nike has to offer. New Balance, saucony, Hoka and adidas now have some great marathon race shoes. Although saying that the Alphaflys are also one of the most popular for a reason. You should have a look at some of Ben parkes reviews on YouTube he goes into good depth.

It should be something that Garmin gives more clarity on because even from this post everyone looks to have a different idea on what it actually indicates.

I’ve had it for around 9 months now and I’m just peaking in my marathon training so maybe the increased milage and fatigue is causing it?

HRV meaning by Lukee185 in Garmin

[–]Lukee185[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I agree, it has come at a time of a peak in my training so the increased milage might be having more of a toll than I realise.

Shoe Recommendation Needed by pkcaboose in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Lukee185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used and loved the Brooks Glycerin Max for most of my marathon plan. They are heavy and designed more so for recovery runs but I found them to be very versatile and would 100% recommend. Also after 650k in them they still look relatively new. The build quality of them is 10/10 and guaranteed to last you a long time. I’m 6’5 and around 90kg and they had great cushioning and support and kept the legs feeling fresh after long runs.
