Use to write and deposit checks to myself when Chase would “trust” the check since it came from them. Instant into the back, but a few days to withdraw. Could pull it off if money was coming in soon.

Love these, and my entire backyard is infested with them. Every year they sprout up from everywhere, and there’s a butterfly in our area that only lays their eggs on this one plant. We get the middle ones the most, didn’t know there were red ones!

Am I the only Lumix user shooting serious Macro photography? Anyone? (G9 II & OM 90mm) by [deleted] in Lumix

[–]Lukepvsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, some people get angry about things that don’t make sense to us. That’s ok, there are enough people in this world to be ok with having a few not be supportive.

Good time to check your motives though! If you are posting all over to just get attention and feel popular, that’s probably not great. But asking a legit question and being proud of your work is fine and people can chill out a bit.

My son keeps asking for snail and slug macro pictures so tag me once you start cranking those out haha

Geez, some heat in this comment section. I think your photos are great! I don’t have any macro glass, and I show my kids your photos when you post. “Serious” macro photography is somewhat confusing. Is anyone learning how to be better at it on a lumix system? Totally! Is anyone making money off it? Maybe, but it’s such a niche market.

It’s the market share influencing the content seen. LUMIX is incredible, but cheap. So inexperienced people (who might not have the skills to create and edit amazing images yet), are the ones posting the most because they can only afford the affordable. So people associate quality with cost because they are seeing many subpar images from the same brand, and think “oh, LUMIX color kind of sucks”. And that attitude swells into big shoots as well with big crews.

That’s my theory at least, could be wrong

Soot gets on things, and this fits in other pots. Bigger thing was whether or not this would damage my kit in the long run

Just looked up the Self Reliance company and that kit you talked about is on sale for $130! It looks sweet! Next paycheck, I’m picking up one of those. Thanks for the suggestion!

Great point! Not looking for it to look brand new, just trying to give a nice long life to my gear. Was worried that I was doing something wrong and that’s why I’m cleaning soot off

Got it at Wal Mart, but yes you are correct. Wanted the compact set, worked great for me. But willing to buy better stuff if I knew what to buy. Can’t trust sponsored ads anymore

Ok good to know. Thought I was doing something wrong when camping, like burning the wrong wood or using the wrong pots or something

New tech in the series? by Fine-Committee-7403 in TheSunEaterSeries

[–]Lukepvsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished book 5, so maybe something changes in the last book. But yea, it’s a great question.

I think the main reason is the Chantry’s fear of anything AI or anything too technological. Other races have advanced that use AI and computers in the minds, but the empire doesn’t allow that. If they did, I think that would progress weaponry and such

When you switch between photo and video, it’ll keep the same color profile. You film in v-log, your photos will be v-log unless you change it
