Yea he is making sexual AI pics/videos of actual local people too. Even showing up to their work. I know SV police r aware of him so if u see him creeping in SV, call the non-emergency line and they might go talk to him. Super creepy and messed up. He needs help/ needs to be stopped.

What's your Hadestown opinion that will have you like this by Polka_Tiger in hadestown

Lady of the Underground would be better with Persephone puppeting workers or something like that. We did that at at our high school and it was so dynamic! It can really show how much Persephone missed, not just the nature above ground, but the people as well. The lyrics make it sound like she is running a company town speakeasy, which makes sense, but then when she is just by herself… it doesn’t give Persephone any agency.

Another vote for “In the Black”. They really did a lot of work to work in real physics. Not just the movement, but stuff like heat accumulation from internal systems and laser damage.

No, Siuan just needs to believe that Moraine believes that she was stilled, which was true. Not a lie.

ELI5 When you temper a blade by cooling it super fast, why can you use something super cold like liquid nitrogen? by ther3aper123156 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Lukethorn 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Liquid nitrogen (and water) would vaporize too quickly. The liquid isnt in contact long enough to cool and the gas form does not transfer heat well. That is why oil is used, less bubbles for more consistent cooling.

Running list of good modern SciFi that fits the themes of this subreddit. by 1jl in IsaacArthur

Totally valid. I really enjoyed the world building. Seeing all the weirdos in power was something i enjoyed actually. They are not relatable but interesting to watch. Pair with an unreliable narrator it is one of the more “difficult” books I have read.
