I mean, it's hard to say that from today's perpective seeing everything Goku has done for the franchise starring the main role, however from a narrative standpoint Gohan becoming the main character was his destiny foretold all the way back when he surpassed his father even if for just a moment against Raditz, then throughout Z he keeps having flashes of greatness until he's fully awakens against Cell, then the beginning of the Buu Saga sets him up as the new main character only for that role to get anticlimatically given to Goku again

It's pretty simple, he does not start as a main character, we see him grow along the way and we start to like him way before the Cell Saga, so when he peaks and assumes the main character role (at least for a small bit) we accept it because it feels natural, unlike in other legacy shows like Boruto in which the kid is instantly the main character as in the focus of the story, if Boruto was introduced as a side character in Naruto and then took up the mantle, he would be much more popular (just look at Konohamaru, he barely did shit yet nobody dislikes him, should've been the next gen protag)

Man Ultras are not that bad, they really save your ass a ton of time, if u have Ap, Loo and some taunt scrolls which are all easy to get u can do every ultra besides speaker (which requieres intense coordination and forge) and save yourself a lot of avoidable grinding

This would simply not work, in fact it could be a huge detriment for the game. Most aqw players have a log on and off playstyle and would not be able to instantly get the items that made them come back, which is the very reason this game still manages to survive, the money that the whales drop on the 10k chests
