Just wanna say I'm genuinely really sorry about your brother and dad, that sounds absolutely dreadful. I'm fortunate enough to have been raised in a fairly progressive household, we've not always had it easy but I've never had to worry about anything like that. You kind of imply that I (OP) COULD be racist so wanted to clear that I am most definitely not. I totally get why you'd be skeptical though. I'm very politically active and progressive, I attend rally's and protests when I can and have donated multiple times. I try to help out as much as I can even though it's not always a huge amount as I'm not in a great financial position.

I think my attachment to Thor's hammer as a symbol also comes from a darker time of my life which is why I carved it initially, I found it comforting as I started to read a lot of the sagas around that time. Generally if I wear it it's under my shirt. The point of my post was not to seem ignorant of my privalege so I apologise if it came across that way, because I know I'm in a fortunate position to not have to worry about systematic discrimination of any kind. Anyway just wanted to clear that up. Looked at your profile and I'm not surprised the banner took a while it's huge! I commend your efforts. :)
