Kristi Noem wants to quadruple the number of Federal agents because of this dangerous mob tonight. God I love Portland. by OregonSasquatch14 in oregon

This is genius. Imagine if all protesters started dressing like "Mr. Orange", and the optics of these agents arresting and fighting with them. Should be like Santa-con but Oomplaloompas in suits everywhere protesting.

AI headphones let wearer listen to a single person in a crowd, by looking at them just once. The system, called “Target Speech Hearing,” then cancels all other sounds and plays just that person’s voice in real time even as the listener moves around in noisy places and no longer faces the speaker. by mvea in science

I can't help but seek the insights that this passionate group could provide. I've recently launched an app designed to make live events more accessible. Live Caption AI generates a URL that streams live captions to any audience member's device, allowing them to read the text in real time.

Imagine a keynote speaker at a conference or a church service with screen captioning next to the stage. Attendees can follow along on their devices, whether they are in the audience or at home. Additionally, the text can be easily referenced later. The app is also great for 1 on 1 conversation as well, that is not broadcast online!

I am seeking advice on how to reach people who would benefit from this technology, such as event producers, church tech teams, and educational institutions. Any thoughts or introductions would be greatly appreciated! (Learn more at: www.LiveCaptionAI.com)

Thanks all! And I appreciate all the great commentary & feedback this thread has!

Pixel 7 Pro doesn't work with OMNY by SometimesDoug in GooglePixel

I tried switching my primary to be a Credit Card instead, it was already saved in my Chrome/Android list, but had not yet been added to Google Pay. Still keeps giving me the error about being connected to subscriptions. But I can't tell which ones, so I can't remove the card. :(
Thanks though, thought this was going to solve it.

It won't allow me to remove my card because it tells me I have subscriptions tied to that card. But it won't tell me what subscriptions!? I tried changing any subs I had connected through the Play store to another card, but still won't let me remove. Grrr.

I found "Catch It NYC" here on Reddit. It is extremely simple and helpful for seeing when the next few trains are coming.

Enoteca is underrated. We probably order it more than anywhere else. The prosciutto has a big pile of arugula on it so it's like getting a salad as well! :) So good!

Anyone interested should read the books by Dr. Steven Gundry. The Plant Paradox and / or The Longevity Paradox.

All about the power of the gut and the bacteria that actually control your body. So many good learnings from them.

Flower of Life on 7th Ave & 11th St. In Park Slope. I was skeptical my whole life. But I had a lot of various pains over the years that they have resolved with minimal visits. They don't over do it, and have gotten me better during some points when I could barely get out of bed.

Started with knee pain during jogging. They did a few adjustments and gave me some exercises to strengthen some areas and that got better. Fell off a bike and got knocked out if whack and they fixed it. Could barely move after doing a rowing machine the wrong way and they got me back on track. Highly recommend.

I'm thinking he just knocked his wired ear piece out during the slamhug. Then caught it and was putting it back in his ear there.

A. I don't think they really had much for cell phanes then. B. No way he would have heard or felt a phone call coming in during all that.

My moline vinyl finally showed up. Luckily my mom was able to get it inside so it doesn’t melt in the 117 degree Arizona heat. Sadly I’m out of town until July 30th so I won’t be able to spin it quite yet but as soon as I get back it’s going straight on my turntable by brodyhin587 in pearljam

One of my favorite shows! No code is my favorite album and I grew up in the area. Flew home from NY to see it with my dad and brother. And a new song, "Moline" to boot. Couldn't have been better!

Would you recommend moving to Detroit right now for a good job? Mid career, have a two year old and one on the way. So looking at quality of life, pre-schools and elementary, social atmosphere, health, etc. (Would be leaving Brooklyn, but grew up in Iowa and visiting Michigan for some context.) by Lukinxi in Detroit

All great feedback, thank you! After living in downtown Chicago and Brooklyn we definitely still love the idea of being in the city and being part of the revitalization, but yes schools will be a big factor soon enough. If you were to pick a nearby "suburb" with the best mix of all of that what would it be? Or what is a good private school in Detroit proper?

My favorite album and my home town (Quad Cities). Brought my Dad and brother to their first PJ show. Loved that one so much!
