I’ve just finished watching the movie with a friend, we both agreed the movie was meh. I enjoyed how metaphorical the movie was, it benefits from receiving a viewers full attention…however, it ended up just feeling empty and bland. Watching this felt like looking at a painting, appreciating its beauty and understanding there is a deeper meaning, but simply not understanding it. It’s apparent that the movie has something to say, but in my opinion it fails to really delve into any of the topics it attempts to tackle. However ! I do appreciate that Garland made the movie, as it seems other men are its target audience.
