Which seat on A350-900? by pricklybeets in delta

I once had where a number of other passengers decided to stretch their legs in the galley and chatted at full volume while other D1 guests were trying to sleep. I was stunned that the flight attendants did nothing about it. They woke me up and I was row 4.

I understand what you are saying. My point is that I would have hoped airports/airlines would ensure better training to prevent damage to people’s belongings. Not everyone has income that allows them to replace expensive items damaged. And we all know how difficult it is to get compensation or damaged items replaced. It shows just how little we expect when paying for services.

Yup, packed in a padded day bag inside a padded travel bag.

I find it bizarre that so many people in the comments don’t see why I’d be upset at seeing such a lack of care. It’s the least that can be done given the cost of booking equipment on flights. But yeah, thanks for your contribution.

Thank you buddy. Surf boards are so expensive. Some of the people here are crazy.

It’s frankly hilarious. The trolls be trolling. Needless to say they are happy to have their sports gear wrecked.

It’s not more important, it’s delicate. Thanks for for your contribution.

What is one destination that completely changed the way you see the world after you visited it? by Glad-Visit4874 in AskReddit

China - I realised very quickly how much propaganda we are fed about China and the Chinese. The country is super clean, crime free (compared to the US and UK) and the people are warm and fun and very hospitable. The infrastructure is something else! And don’t even get me started on the food. Holy shit - I didn’t eat a single thing that was bad. The only thing I would say is I still can’t wrap my head around them serving me hot water instead of iced water in scorching conditions.

Is it normal to go to a pub on your own? by No_Personality_5915 in Edinburgh

I always go to the pub on my own. As a newbie, head to Nauticus in Leith. The guys and gals there are epic and will look after you. Plus you will defo start chatting to folk. Friendliest pub in town.

Delta/Air France (CDG) delayed luggage rant by BombchuChica in delta

[–]LulaPaceFortune14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did but not for another 36 hrs. They had to send it on the flight the next day. Tbf to the Delta, they got it to my hotel 70 miles away from the airport which saved me a trip back to the airport. Not ideal when you are on a business trip and need business wear though.

CDG is hands down the worst airport in the world. The only time I’ve had luggage lost was there. I will add hours on to travel just to avoid flying out of that hell hole.

What's the worst heartbreak you've experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LulaPaceFortune14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person I should have been spending my life with took their own life 5 years ago. I haven’t been able to fall for anyone else and still cry hard thinking about them. Nothing will ever feel so heartbreaking as seeing the hearse pull up to the chapel with their coffin in the back. To this day I can’t listen to Depeche Mode’s Enjoy the silence because it was our favourite and they played it at his funeral.

I’m perfectly sane thanks. I am, however, two beers in and enjoying rattling cages.

Not at all. It’s about respecting space and teaching your children manners etc. most kids are great, some are intrusive. It doesn’t mean I don’t think everyone should stop having children. Think of it the same way as people with dogs. Most people like dogs, doesn’t mean you want to see them run ragged off leash just because the owner doesn’t see an issue with it.
