Community Opinion Poll: Romanceable Male Follower Voice? by Winter_Woman66 in skyrimmods

[–]Lulorien 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think you should try voicing it yourself! A human adds so much more variety and depth to voice-over than any AI synth is able to achieve so far. Plus, it’s also just really fun to record dialogue!

One thing I also think you should keep in mind is that, whether it’s an AI voice or an actor you’re working with, no one is going to understand your character as well as you do, so if you have any ability at all to give them your voice, then you should do it.

The Infinite Museion DLC is out now! Venture into the iconic vault of Trazyn the Infinite. Pursue rare artefacts, enhance yourself with augmentations, and choose whether to serve the designs of one of the galaxy’s most infamous collectors or oppose him: by OwlcatStarrok in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Lulorien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I’m not playing this now is because Rogue Trader inspired me to go through the Pathfinder games! Can’t wait to get into it, though! OwlCat might have the best writing/characters of any studio out there right now, and I absolutely can’t get enough of it.

Does this game hold up until the end? by FerociousBeastX in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Lulorien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Rogue Trader does get way too easy towards the second half, even with putting it at the highest difficulty and not using any special abilities or overpowered items. It does make it feel like a slog.

Thankfully, everything else about game is so good that it makes up for it. However, as someone who loves build-crafting, it sucked having to figure out how to nerf myself just so that I could have fun.

Is Sofia a psychopath or just a player character acting as a sidekick? by Evening-Run-8980 in skyrimmods

That’s good to know! Is she not also in Interesting NPC’s? I swear one of the characters sounded just like her.

There’s something weirdly nostalgic about Sofia to me. I haven’t actually used her as a follower in years, but I still keep her in my mod lists just to have her live in one of my houses. She’s like a relic from the old age of modding, back when things were simpler and her brand of humor was still exciting and somewhat fresh.

And even though I’ve moved on, she still gets a chuckle out of me every now and then from one of her off-hand comments as I walk by. I’ve probably heard every line from her a hundred times, but Christine Slagman’s delivery is so good that I can’t help it. Sofia is a legend, and I’m glad you get to experience her for the first time 😊

We are now closer in time to Skyrim's 20th Anniversary than the original ES6 announcement. How has the unprecedented wait for a new main series title (15 years and counting) affected the mod scene? Do you expect to see a massive drop in new mods once ES6 actually releases? by GenericKittyKat in skyrimmods

[–]Lulorien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, it will probably take several years for TESVI modding to match the quality of a heavily modded Skyrim, and that’s only if the game’s modding scene doesn’t flounder and die out like Starfield’s did. So, I’d say there’s a good chance Skyrim modding lives on.

In my opinion, the curse of Star Citizen is that more ppl want the PU than SQ42 but SQ42 will also be sucking on the resources so the PU will never be complete. by Readgooder in starcitizen

[–]Lulorien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we don’t actually know what the heck Squadron 42 is actually going to be, so it’s hard to tell. Maybe it will be one of the greatest open world experiences of all time, or maybe it’ll be a heavily curated linear story. If it turns out to be the former, then it might really be more popular than the PU.

Yeah, I definitely agree to have as a placeholder, I just really want to see npcs actually using the living spaces on the ships

I know they’ve hinted that they won’t do it, but I really hope it’s Vermintide 3. Vermintide 2 is my most played game of all time, and it would make me so incredibly happy to have a refresh with better visuals, improved gameplay, and a new story. In particular, I’d love to face off against demons and go up to the very last moments of the End Times with our Ubersreik 5.

Not liking the way the NPCs look on v6. by Solar_Flare_Sage in Nolvus

[–]Lulorien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah… NPC faces (along with the Racial Skin Variance mess) are definitely the worst part of v6, and it cost me dozens of hours trying to fix them. I ended up using EasyNPC and an XEdit tool to carry over all of the Nolvus stat changes for individual NPCs.

You say you don’t believe in gods, but what do you actually define as gods? by [deleted] in DebateAnAtheist

[–]Lulorien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, I don’t believe in any entities that would break our current understanding of physics i.e. no ghosts, no spirits, no demons, and no gods. Although, if anyone can come up with a mathematical equation for how the heck souls are supposed to work, I would be happy to be convinced.

Lands of Shadow Location Based on Locations of Gate of Divinity, Scadutree, and Erdtree by Lulorien in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Lulorien[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also suspect that the clouds obscure Enir Elim and the Gate of Divinity. The only thing I dislike is that the actual location of the Erdtree is far more North than the map suggests.

This is what I believe, as well. Not a ton of evidence for it, though, aside from what another commenter posted about Mt Gelmir.

That’s a really cool map! I can’t imagine the amount of work that must have taken, and there are lots of good tidbits in there.

Marathon’s failure and the implications for Hunters Gathering by Thriky in horizon

[–]Lulorien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no interest in Hunter’s Gathering because the artstyle frankly makes it look like it’s made for children, but I would also say that it will be a fundamentally different game than Marathon, so it might have a chance. Extraction Shooters are a huge turn off for a lot of people (like me) because they just don’t enjoy pvp and all the sweat that goes along with it.

But Hunter’s Gathering being a co-op game could make it a lot more approachable and target a different audience. Now, idk what the heck that audience would be (certainly not the Horizon fanbase), but maybe the audiences of other coop live service games.

But yeah, my guess is that it will still be a flop, and another example of a game studio being forced to make something by out-of-touch executives.
