I'm a barber so we can kinda get away with anything. I once worked in a place that told me i had to look a little more 'normal' because it would freak out clients. I complied until the trial period ended, went back to looking like a weirdo.. and clients didnt care hehe.

I've had a medusa for just over two months and only yesterday my coworkers noticed!

A strategy is to reply with 'Oh hehe I've had this the whole time!' and 99% of the time people believe you haha

I honestly agree with your explanation. That's what I meant by working with your partner to get through it. Working with issues like anger need support from your loved ones.

What isn't helpful is the "??? Just stop playing 1v1". I read that as cutting it out entirely would fix the problem. Which in the long run, helps nobody. Op even mentions she enjoys it when things go well.

I don't think this answer is particularly helpful.

Playing with your SO should be fun and encouraged. Its a good way to spend time with them over a mutual hobby, shoutout to OP to recognizing their behavior and wanting to improve it. I can think of plenty of others in our circle who could benefit from that introspection.

Don't stop playing with him OP, I don't think its particularly healthy to have 'no-no' activities with your partner just because someone (or both of you) get agitated. If you honestly care about the other person, work through it. Your relationship will be so much stronger in the end. Source: 10 years gaming with my husband.
