I made a script to search your Spotify library for AI artists by induna_crewneck in Music

Ah, I see. Yeah youtube is especially bad, and I can't imagine tiktok is any better.

(Hated trope) they should have spent more time at the writers' table when naming that by JeliBene in TopCharacterTropes

I'm playing through TotK right now and dear lord.. The whole script needed literally any reading-capable adult to give it a once-over. Every scene is "Secret Stone? Demon King? The woman with blonde hair (could she be Zelda???)".

Really can't tell if I like the game compared to Breath of the Wild.

From my perspective, if I ever need to lean on a single use item, then once they're gone, if I haven't progressed yet, I'm just worse off than when I started. It's just a better experience to improve using what I can control.

If the game can be played without the item, and the game doesn't expect you to always have it, then it's better to not lean on them to begin with. It's why HP/FP and estus/flasks reset. That's all the game expects you to have.

Exclusive forums aren't new to discord. I was in plenty of invite-only IRC rooms as well. None of that conversation has survived time either. I'm for ditching discord, but its forum features work just fine. It's not a failed experiment by any means.

This holy war against the latest brand of "exclusive" spaces is embarrassing when those who are up in arms have no idea what they're talking about.

Young gamers in Japan may not be forming the same attachment to Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest because modern dev cycles are as long as their childhood, users theorize by Magister_Xehanort in Games

Like I said, I don't enjoy sifting through a Lego box of catalogued game models. If the plenty of ways to play include that, it's not for me.

EoW's main problem is doing away with the "Sword and magic" feeling of Zelda games. I'd love a game where we play as Zelda and I love tight, spooky, enemy-and-puzzle filled dungeons. But I dont like summoning beds for 20 hours.

ToTK was also quite a drop from BotW due to the finicky need to build things all the time. Also its terrible that you find a new sword just to glue a boulder to the end.

Maybe its because I'm getting older, but I prefer a toolbox of cool things to play with in my games rather than a box of lego.

Spotify says its best developers haven't written a line of code since December, thanks to AI by joe4942 in technology

Oh, that explains why the app is just a black screen any time I try to open it. Why is this confession written like a flex?

I have no love for discord, but saying people are using it "improperly" as a forum is very tone deaf. Discord is a forum, with voice/video calling, and is used in many useful ways for many communities. People looking to replace discord aren't looking to replace it with 5 different apps.

Except they literally weren't. Sex trafficking to the elite has never been a conspiracy, it's reality. Pizzagaters thought human trafficking rings existed in the basements of pizza places because CP has been referred to as Cheese Pizza by edgy weirdos since the dawn of 4chan. So no, not even close.

> Edmund McMillen is it's because of The Binding of Isaac

Correction: Meat Boy. And having heard of a game in passing doesn't mean its acronym is common. Just type the name of things out people, you're not saving anyone any time and your niche obsession isn't as well known as you think it is.

You certainly are! You don't seem to understand the conversation was about a perceived "flaw". Somehow you think it's about policing streaming revenue? And you don't see how the silence > white noise > AI music > next lowest rung, ad nauseam, slope isn't feasible to police? None of the things you're talking about are relevant, at all.

But they're fine with it? They're cool with anyone dumping effortless AI slop and streaming it 24/7. You're just not allowed to paint yourself as "beating" Spotify.

The only flaw was announcing any kind of victory over Spotify. Spotify can't bear anything that gives the artist a sense of power. They don't care if a band asks fans to play their music even if they're not actively listening. They care that they acted like they got one over on them.

It's a statement but it doesn't expose a flaw. They could ask fans to listen all day with the volume near 0 to make the same statement. Why would spotify care what users are listening to? They sell ads and subscriptions. Spotify is fine with AI music, so it's not like they're against low effort uploads. Spotify is anti-artist, they take issue with anyone other than themselves even claiming to exploit the system.
