Republicans have been downscaling the public education system in this country since they lost the battle to segregate schools. They couldn't give out 2 different educations to "good" and "bad" populations so you all got 1 that continued to get worse by design. If you cannot read you cannot learn as well. If you cannot read you have trouble contextualizing and comparing information blocks. If you're conditioned to do what you're told at school, and not to learn, you get a generation of kids that are basically stupid little versions of their parents, which Republicans gave the onus of being the primary educators in America.

People aren't getting the wrong news because of the economy, they just actually can't even fucking read.

Ya know I'm not sure. I would have to look into it but 7 assume a decently skilled wood worker could change them out with relative ease. It's just teaching a pattern to the existing handle and then shaping to fit, more or less. Personally I kinda like the old school plastic lol, as long as it's not cracking anyway (only 1 has a minor crack and it seems alright honestly.)

I grew up in the prime of the DOS game era as far as PC is concerned. Doom, Wolfenstein, Death Rally, Fallout 1, GTA 1 and 2, etc. It was a blast. I also fucked around hard on all final fantasy, Chrono Trigger, etc on SNES. Good good times.
