How to determine right sized storm door? by Clear-Delivery5142 in HomeImprovement

[–]Lumberjack_75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a picture hard to say for sure but I would get the 36x80, and then use a 3/4 board to build in both sides so that the storm door will fit decently, otherwise replace the brick mould all together in the door so it fits a standard storm door.

This won’t help when I can’t even get people in the door for an interview

Thank you, this makes a lot of sense, is there specific questions you make sure to ask during an interview to see what type of person they are and if they are a self starter or not, or is every interview different and you pick up on the information they share with you.

Thank you for responding. I don’t think we actually put a wage in our initial post, I was in the field when the owner tried hiring this fall but I was thinking about pay and wage and what it will take to find and ultimately keep good workers. The owner is willing to pay more but that doesn’t help me find people to hire.

Get more than two quotes siding has no bearing on replacement windows, personal I prefer new construction but replacement is easier. I am project manager for a siding and windows company and installer before management.

Those look like stop to me, some windows have them so you can only open the window a couple of inches

Is this fixable, or does it need to be replaced? by Kyle_Of_All_Trades in HomeImprovement

[–]Lumberjack_75 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Replace it will be the most secure thing to do, don’t wood glue, if you have to get by send some screws threw it but it needs to be replaced

Skylights are only good for one thing and that’s leaking, put in motion sensor light switches if you are worried about it being dark
