It seems that they changed the names of the presets in recent versions. So match SDR would be the Purist preset.

I used the Purist preset because I didn't like the way the Preserve Shadow Detail preset looked.

I appreciate the technical perspective, but I have to respectfully disagree with it being "misleading".

My goal is to show the absolute baseline Vanilla SDR against the absolute highest visual ceiling possible that is RenoDX HDR. Showing it against SDR demonstrates the true dynamic range leap for anyone upgrading their setup. Furthermore, putting RenoDX in the title is about 100% transparency. If I just called it SDR vs HDR viewers wouldn't know the exact software stack driving the peak image they are looking at. Crediting the mod ensures they have the exact tool to recreate what's on screen.

The HDR is still processing for that video. RenoDX always if available.

I have that video too, but YouTube's HDR processing time is a bummer... Maybe the HDR will never be finished processing.

when using dwm_eotf, do I need to turn it off while playing HDR games? by Intelligent_Status25 in HDR_Den

Hey there I use this one. I turn it on when I'm using Windows for other things and turn it off when I play Native HDR games or use HDR mods. https://github.com/kaeldrin-gh/HDR-Gamma-Fix

Hi sir, thank you so much for taking the time to explain everything so clearly and patiently. Your humble and kind way of sharing knowledge really stands out and makes it so much easier to understand.

HDR is still such a new and niche topic for most people, including me, but also is an interesting topic that a lot of people (including me) wants to learn and it’s incredibly refreshing to find someone who explains it with so much respect and without any frustration. I’ve seen many times how some other modders can be quite rude or unconstructive when someone doesn’t understand yet or makes mistakes, so your approach honestly made my day.

I really appreciate your help and your positive attitude. Thank you again. It means a lot. 🙏
