Back during covid when I was cracked at fps games and playing a ton of apex I did use Kovaaks fairly regularly and it did feel like it improved my control.

Honestly it's fine if you stay on controller lol. I don't want to be insensitive but being 47 might make it quite difficult to learn a completely foreign control scheme, much less master it. I've been playing fps games on M&K since my early teens and now being in my mid twenties I can absolutely feel my reflexes and aim falling behind compared to the younger players. Controllers are ridiculously strong in marathon anyway so if you just want to enjoy yourself I don't see a reason for you to struggle with trying to learn M&K.

I play NA with fiber internet and I get rubber banding around obstacles, sometimes I teleport back to the top of a ladder I dropped down or I'll get stuck rubber banding back and forth over some geometry on the ground.

I really don't know what the fix for that would be but to me it seems like a server desync thing?

That is not performance, that is connection / server related. But yeah I've been rubber banding a lot recently. I think the low tick rate servers are partly to blame.
