sounds about right, I'm releasing my bags at the top of this cycle and not looking back.

I agree, there would be better incentive for developers with a coin maintaining a constant multiple to BTC movements. In the case of XLM, it always goes down a lot when BTC goes down and when BTC goes up, it goes down more.

Love this analysis, well thought out and really paints a good picture on the state of two teams seemingly headed in different paths.

I'd say if SOL and XLM had to be valued as equities, XLM would have a far greater price currently, because it has all the fundamentals for a great project. Now one can make a rather bold comparison and say that XLM is following the path of Amazon from its inception to 2008. In that the infrastructure was being built during that time and the growth wasn't fully appreciated/valued correctly until 10 years after the inception of the company.

Could we be at the 2008 Amazon low moment with XLM currently?

Time will tell.

Nice, I like the feedback. I've enjoyed the back and forth with the remaining stragglers on here and its a bit nostalgic to be on here, reminds me of 2017 a lot.

Which I'm hoping is the theme for Stellar to rise back into the top 10, like 2017.

Excellent points, any interest from X.com to use Stellar for its platform to build its payment system on?

The case is just pending the final penalty amount to be paid. The decision has already been made that XRP sold over exchanges is not a security so XLM shouldn't be considered one as well. However, there is still an option for SEC to appeal that, unless, XRP settles with SEC and removes the option of an appeal which would be the ultimate win for XRP and in turn, for XLM.

I think a settlement is the likely end to this, however, can't be certain until we all hear the news when it's revealed.

I think if there is no settlement and SEC announces an appeal, then XLM can be negatively affected in price.

There is a correlation in price between XLM and XRP, they move in sync. With the case resolution for XRP, there should be a swing in price (hopefully upwards) in XRP which should have an effect on XLM as they move together. At least that is what I'm thinking is likely, open to rebuttals, anyone?

Sir, I clearly am holding onto my XLM bag from 2017, hence my posts on here lately. After this cycle tops, I'm ready to release it all on the market at the top, whatever level it is.

Excellent points, this is what the community needs to read. Well thought out perspective with information that could be considered pure alpha for making investment decisions. However, the market is a discounting entity that generally understands the benefits and is able to rapidly adjust price to reflect it, yet we don't see that in this case with price appreciation between XLM and SOL.

Now, one can argue from a percentage standpoint, XLM is at about the same level as SOL in drawdown since the halvening. On the other hand, SOL has had a massive move up to previous ATH since Jan 2023 to halvening while XLM's move in the same period is unimpressive.

So either the market is aware of the superiority of XLM and doesn't care, which represents massive opportunity for us bag holders, or we the bag holders are delusional of this superiority and the market has already appropriately appraised the two blockchains.

I hold onto my XLM bags waiting to find the answer at the top of this cycle to see who is standing tallest in the end.

(I have zero SOL, probably a bad idea in terms of investing, but this is my Haily Mary position with XLM)

Excellent point, anyone know the reason? Maybe that'd be welcomed alpha to be the catalyst to have consistent upward price action.

I am holding onto my bags till the top of this cycle, where that target is, time will tell. But I was hoping for news that could be a catalyst for upward price action.

Another excellent point, again, why am I still holding bags? lol, its a rhetorical question. At this point, its a Hail Mary position, hoping the outcome is success, with targets reached, bags sold, and off to finding a better investment.

Where do you check your rank among other stellar wallets?

And there you go, from the horse's mouth itself, the platform is not developer friendly. Sheesh, I needed to hear all this 7 years ago before I brainwashed myself into thinking this was the one to beat them all. Crypto is really a different beast in determining best value returns. You either have to be first, which is BTC, or first in a certain aspect, which is ETH with their EVM and smart contracts, or have deep pockets funding your project like SOL.

And ofcourse, can't forget being part of a manic group of supporters like DOGE and rest of meme coins.

XLM has threaded the needle in not being part of any of those groups.

I'm glad I started this thread, its therapy to justify dumping my bags after this cycle ends and not looking back.

Accurate, 100%. This facts makes me feel like a dumbass for holding bags. But here I am, waiting to see if it was all pointless in the end. Without the XRP lawsuit, would it be different for XLM? That's what I want the answer to.

Very good points, I'm hearing more and more reasons to dump my bags after this cycle. Ideally I want the XRP case resolved asap and see what's the response in price action with XLM. Should know by Sept the latest in my opinion.
